I'm more into Nero's new design In the DMC4 he just looked like younger Dante, at the first time I've seen the beggining scene in DMC4 (the one where Dante blows in and kills the priest or someone who looks like one) I was confused who is who. In the DMC5 his design looks more like Vergil's with some stuff from DmC: Devil May Cry like his haircut. From this point he looked very different from Dante and you could see who's who without using outer sources
You know that devil trigger come first so bury the light is a more rock version? And besides that, bury the light has be done with a lot of thinking because it take some elements from older DMC song and a feeling to Devil Trigger to symbolize the bond between Virgil and Nero. Honestly Bury the light is a masterpiece just like every other character theme of this game

Now this, in my opinion, is the most edgy song out of Revengeance statuses, and DMC statuses, I’d say tied with Dante in terms of lyrics, but because of the drastically different tones of the songs I’d say this is the more edgy one, but that makes it fucking incredible. Casey Edwards designed these tracks with a fucking perfectionist beam or something because the entirety of DMC5 soundtrack did not deserve to be as good as it did, he had no reason to make that shit go hard, but the legend did it anyways. And I fucking love it.
DMC is incredible because by all reasonable metrics it should be lame as fuck, trite deviant art bullshit. It’s edgier than a swastika covered in razor blades and just radiates that “it’s my OC do not steal” energy. Yet despite all the red flags and decisions that would turn anything else into a Shadow the Hedgehog tier laughing stock, DMC is cool as the ninth layer of hell. It’s genuinely impressive because this entire concept should come across as to stupid to actually enjoy unironically. I still don’t know how they pulled it off, but I’m thankful they did just for bury the light and devil trigger alone.
