Same lol, didn't expect a hottie, but man did this show ever get bad...or I was just too young when it started and thought the first few seasons were actually good hahaha
Charlie Jones Charlie Jones I agree it’s useless and horrendous not to mention the color is horrible and when Tavarish got it I thought he was gonna restore it to how it was originally in 1999 with all the correct amount of seats and a nice neutral paint job make it look classy not trashy

YES INDEED! I would watch Pimp My Ride and some of the cars selected to be on the show were in pretty bad shape but I never really thought they were actually using a different car then the car in the beginning of the episode. Looking back on it though, it does make perfect sense as some of the cars selected were in really bad shape and could not be fixed up or would be too much work to be fixed up on the show. This is true because it was a TV show there was a limited time to fix the car up. This means that the car could not take too long to PIMP OUT or they would not meet their episode filming schedule in time.
to be fair.. Xibit exposed the whole show years later. It was all fake, actors and not people who owned those cars.. I mean, does anybody ever seen a petition where you sign your freinds car up? No? Well, it was fake and most of the things they made didn't really work. Like TV's and stuff only worked from another powersource outside the car.
Years later, this minivan would be handed down to several owners, left to rot in Boston, sold for 800 dollars and be bought be a TH-cam user named Tavarish to restore it to it's former glory. Sad things happen to some cars nowadays.
Comments here skyrocketed since Tavarish started his project that used the car in this exact episode... gotta admit, he did a great job restoring this pimped car to drivable conditions.
When I was a kid I used to think that the spiky hair guy has the best hair ever because it looks like a super saiyan's hair. Now that I'm 25 it kinda looks stupid as hell lol
I can't believe they just get a similar and newer car to replace the thrashed original, thanks to Tavarish I've realized my life has been a lie. Thanks MTV.
That episode was shot in 2006/2007, but yeah, they are ridicously impractical. I mean, we carry them in our pockets today. Once, they even put a two inch one in a car.
Just seen the episode of tavarish where pimp my ride swapped minivans .... so my question is did the girl know that her VIN #s no longer match to her insurance card?? Or did pimp my ride swap that too?

I never realized how gaudy the transformations looked when I was a kid. I can’t imagine showing up to my grown up job in one of these 😂
As long as it has a cotton candy machine it shouldn’t have any problems
Stop trying to impress gatekeepers and be your own boss
I liked this show as a kid. But now I’m older I realize how bad the acting is.

Tavarish just brought that purple Dodge Caravan

Tavarish exposed Pimp My Ride... The van they pimped is not the same van they started with, they junkyarded that one.
One of many bodge jobs so far
There’s one of Pimp My Ride episodes talking about this

It screams 2000s. The current condition of this minivan makes you realize how long it's been.
Lies again? Grab CDG Acne Pimple
Can't wait to see tavarish tear this thing apart, see if the rumors of real bodge jobs are true 😂

Apparently it's the opposite, Freddy got everything working, these guys made a good job with this van.
@Joseph Stalin True it was pretty reliable.
Seeing what's the actual car is like right now, this clip has become a historical documentary
Wow this sounds like the most non scripted meeting ever!
Imagine you and your friends script a conversation to mess with the new person in the group.
Is this popping up in everyone’s recommended after watching tavarishs video
Yes
yep!
1 day after watching it!

Interesting this came up after watching tavarish
The amount of cringe with those over the top fake characters....it's...early 2000's alright.
Years later, this minivan would be handed down to several owners, left to rot in Boston, sold for 800 dollars and be bought be a TH-cam user named Tavarish to restore it to it's former glory. Sad things happen to some cars nowadays.
I hate the fact that this show had nothing to do with car’s mechanic
They did swap the whole car though
it had nothing to do with the mechanicals it was just a show piece
all of them were nothing more than show pieces done to look the part.
Well, it's called "Pimp my Ride", not "Fix My Ride".
That’s not all true, they wanted to make that sound like a Ferrari🤣🤣
Comments here skyrocketed since Tavarish started his project that used the car in this exact episode... gotta admit, he did a great job restoring this pimped car to drivable conditions.
I actually thought these guys were real mechanics 🤦🏽♂️
Of course, real proffesionals
Real pendejos

It ended up aboundoned and then
At Tavarish

acting is so cringey

I had no idea that John Travolta was into customising cars.
So glad this was in my recommended 1 day after watching Tavarish
Tavarish has his work cut out for himself.
They were so good, it even changed the car brand.
Its the same van, just added a ram bumper if I'm not mistaken.
@@Phil451 It’s Dodge, there was no Ram minivan back then.
Here from Tavarish 🤣🤣🤣

Tavarish has a Ferrari engine sitting around. I wonder if he's going to try shoehorning it into the van for real?
Yes we need thissss

And amazingly now all those mods still seem to work. Guess they weren’t as jack as we all thought.
Not that they worked, just that they were simple to fix. Stuff like the sliding door was overengineered though
except that it would've been better if it didn't work
Wonder where Dave and his hair are these days 🤣🤣
Jail for manslaughter for tripping and falling on someone 😂

Hope tavarish trys to find Laila to find out the inside story of the van .

Just saw the car irl yesterday at The Peterson Automotive museum in LA 😂😂😂 I left my mark.
Yo Layla is a snack; I bet tavarish is sniffing the seat
$20 Tavarish smelled the driver seat the second he got alone with this van after he bought it haha!!

So funny how all the bodywork was suddenly perfect, had a bodykit fitted and was instantly ready for paint!
I’m amazed that I was 30 when I watched these and still thought they were dope. 🤦♂️ 😂
See this van last week at Peterson museum parking lot. Very interesting

There's gonna be a lotta comments about that guy who bought that abandoned minivan....

man i remember when i was a kid this show was crazy awesome. looking back this was just a disaster lol. it's just straight up comedy.
