“History is always changing”- I LOVE that you said that, because it seems counterintuitive, but it’s SO true.
Awesome video as always. I love your outfit, that turquoise necklace is so pretty

I use your vanishing cream under my Coty powder and Max Factor creme puff. It works wonderful and gives a slight pretty tint to my skin. I think this is how it was used back in the day.

I love both your orange and rose cold cream. Both are so lovely. I just started using your vanishing cream and I’m hooked! Much better than any primer I’ve ever used.

I bought the 1901 Rose Cold Cream and though i love the concept of it, maybe the formulation is not appropriate for my skin? I use it as intended and instructed but I have a almost sticky feel on my face. Am I doing something wrong?

You are most likely using it correctly; maybe you applied more than needed, but the 1901 can appear sticky to some people because of the vegetable glycerine used. Don't worry, though. The skin will soak it up, so if possible, try applying less and giving it more time to sink in. It's perfect for before bed or to remove makeup and keep the skin hydrated.

Can cold cream be used on the eyes to remove eye makeup or just facial makeup?

Super interesting subject and I'd love to see those books you referenced. I found the video to have way too much editing though and repetition. Your line of cold creams sound super yummy! Thanks for sharing. :)

Great informative video of your products. If I order one of these cold creams, especially one using a formula older than 1880, can I expect the product to separate?

Very interesting! I don't know if I would add one of these products to my skin care regimen, because I am really into active skin care ingredients. I want my products to be doing something super helpful. But I could see using unscented (without floral/fruit extracts) cold cream as makeup remover.

Thanks for your comment. Historically we don't separate the product into "active ingredients" like we do today. Active ingredients also have many sub categories but in general they help to boost your skin's ability to combat and reverse the damages of environmental and internal ravages and old fashioned recipes have tons of these in- but in the natural form and for modern purposes are filed under "active functional ingredients". For example, cold cream helps moisturize, nourish, and sooth dry, sensitive, and sun damaged skin. They also help restore & maintain the ideal moisture balance of the skin helping to combat wrinkles, and keeping your skin looking healthy and young. If essential oils are added then you would also have the benefits that those oils give. Thanks for watching.

I know ponds cold cream had multiple uses. I know I use it as a makeup remover as well as I use it as a moisturizer at night.

Like you I believed that my skincare needed to have all manners of ingredients. Retinol, exfoliant, chemical peels, hyaluronic acid, ceramides, Vit C, essences, serums, creams, oils. I had multiple skincare steps and nevermind the makeup routine. All told I spent 2+ hours a day on skincare and makeup. On a whim I bought some LBCC Historical products. I've replaced all my other products w LBCC. My skin has never looked better. It glows, I no longer need heavy makeup to cover my "flaws".
