I love 💕 your new haircut! I also love the rose painting & how well theses brushes work for you. I have got to have a great brush with good snap, holds plenty of water, & comes to a nice point as well. Thanks for sharing this informational video with us!
I’ve read they use the tails leftover from the fur industry, something that would just wind up in the trash anyway, so if you think about it, not using the tails isn’t going to make any difference, animals are still going to suffer and die so people can have fur coats.
What do you bet Jackson’s gets a run on these brushes… 😂😂. Thanks for the info. I am always looking for a good synthetic. Escoda comes close to sable. I tend to wear out the points of all types of brushes so inexpensive replacements with your endorsement works for me! Now if only shipping to the USA was not so costly… must take a trip perhaps… beg for time in a Jackson’s…
Thank you very much Louise, this information is very important. I will never be tired to say that you have been such an inspiration for me, even we live far way from each other, you've become a great professor to me. Thank you forn your time and all the precise videos and tutorials. Hugs from Colombia. By the way , you new look is amazing !
Ordered these right away😊. While I will use them also, I have been sharing my more pricey brushes with my grandchildren along with some cheapies. Will be putting the cheapies aside as I know they have better results with these Jackson ones.
I also think you're a cute as a button with the new style! I admire your painting very much. I'm a beginner, so I'm far from your level of painting, but it's so fun watching you!
Jackson’s makes some nice synthetic quill brushes. There are a lot of great synthetic brushes out there today, and I have quite a few. But I still love my sable brushes. I have several sables, some are pretty old - one was my aunt’s and was probably purchased in the 1970s, others I used for oil painting when I was a kid, those didn’t get the care they should have over the years, but are still usable. If you take really good care of your brushes, they should last a long long time. Right now I’m in the market for a larger round, the biggest round I have right now is an 8.
Beautiful hair!! I haven't seen it this short. I've been busy for a while jumping into learning online business and TH-cam, and all the things.. and omg there's so many things to learn 😅 but it's been so much fun. ❤ I recently painted a rose with the least expensive brush set and a lower quality paper, half the price of Arches and it turned out fine but I think that all comes with skill and experience too. I think we can adjust to the supplies to get the job done but quality supplies makes the journey so nice. I have my favorites for sure. Great to see you. You're one of my inspirations. ❤🥰
Your haircut suits your face so well!!! It takes years off… not that you needed it! Oh great video. It hurts to pay those big prices for brushes. Thank you!
Thanks Louise. I live in Oz and I have a Jackson’s near me. I never use animal hair brushes so I’ll definitely be checking these out ❤ still trying to work out which brushes I like best for which types of watercolour painting!
Hi Louise, thank you for sharing the info regardingJacksons synthetic brushes! They do amazing work with watercolour! Your rose painting is so beautiful and delicate! I also love your new hair style❤ take care, Helene
I actually *love* your new haricut! Thank you for this! I appreciate that manufacturers are trying to make good quality tools and supplies more accessible. Looking forward to the tutorial for this lovely painting!!
Thanks, Louise! So good to hear about great affordable brushes. I LOVE your hair! So stylish and it shows off your beautiful face 😊 I’m sure Carl agrees!! 😅
LOVE your very flattering new haircut!!! Great video on the brushes, As a beginner, I've been using poor quality brushes with predictably poor results. Time to try better supplies!
This video is so helpful. Thank you for the detailed, thorough and objective review; these brushes look like a great option. Most of all, your rose painting is absolutely beautiful! How many colors did you choose for this one?
I was surprised to hear you say that you have to replace synthetic brushes more often than natural haired brushes. I have all synthetic brushes and they will last a lifetime for me probably. With watercolor I don't have to wash them so they don't take much wear and tear like with acrylics or oils. I use Princeton Aqua Elite and they're amazing. Pretty affordable and amazing- they perform very similar to natural haired brushes
Thanks Louise. This is very helpful. I have some mixed fibre brushes but that's as close to sable as I've gotten. I have been tempted to try the Jackson's brand sable brushes as they much less expensive. Maybe I will now. And I love your hair cut :)
I love your new haircut. And I appreciate the review of the brushes. So helpful. It's hard to know what to buy if you don't want to break the bank or bake the brank, as the case may be. Thank you.
Thank you for sharing. Needed suggestions for cost affordable quality products. I had some health issues, and my medical bills are causing my little art budget to zero. More affordable ways and products for artists. Would appreciate greatly. Thank you. New haircut is lovely. ❤
Thank you so much for this information! Since so many are asking about your beautiful new cut, would you mind sharing the brand of the top you're wearing? I know this is super silly so if you don't respond no worries, really!
Made me purchase 4 of them. haha! [I have a question... what is the best way to get ahold of you for a more personal question pertaining to my art? A business email?]
Hello Louise, how would I know when a brush needs replacing? I use sable or synthetic for my general painting and I have a couple of large squirrel hair brushes for doing large washes.
I love 💕 your new haircut! I also love the rose painting & how well theses brushes work for you. I have got to have a great brush with good snap, holds plenty of water, & comes to a nice point as well. Thanks for sharing this informational video with us!
My pleasure. Thank you Colleen.
I love your new haircut dear .Thank you for the detailed information. It was very helpful.❤❤
Love your new hairstyle, looks young and beautiful !!!
I opt for synthetic brushes because they are cruelty-free. I've seen how natural bristle (fur) is 'collected'. Love your new haircut.
I’ve read they use the tails leftover from the fur industry, something that would just wind up in the trash anyway, so if you think about it, not using the tails isn’t going to make any difference, animals are still going to suffer and die so people can have fur coats.
Before I even get started with your video, I have to tell you, your new hairstyle is adorable on you! Now on with the painting.

Louise… your new haircut is lovely!! Thank you for your review of these brushes…. Very helpful!
Glad it was helpful! Thank you. 💕
Great Video, thank you, I will only use synthetics so this is good to note/know. Keen for your next video, stay well :)

That's very kind of you. Thank you!
Yes, your new hairstyle looks great. Men don't think the same. Thank you so much, looking forward to the rose tutorial.
Thank you June. ❤️

My favourite brush is a windsor & Newton Series 7 round size 1. I‘d like to draw some detailed flowerpaintings with.
I have just purchased these, thank you for the advice can’t wait to use them
Very good brush review. Your haircut looks really nice

Haircut is great but where did you get your beautiful blouse!!!?

I can relate to the medical burden reducing art and every other budget to zero. I am American, by the way.
My pleasure and I'm so sorry about your health issues. I hope you're on the mend now. ❤️
I love your haircut❣
I love your palette, please supply a link.
I found it by looking at your supply info, thanks
Have you tried the Jackson Icon brushes? I believe they are a blend of sable and synthetic...
I LOVE your new haircut!!! I didn't hear which Jackson brushes these were other than series 505. Do they have a series name? Thanks

Thanks for the great information. The link for the rest of the world doesn’t appear to be working. I keep getting the 404 Not Found message.
Dom has been looking into it and he seems to have fixed the link. Let me know if it still doesn't work for you.
Made me purchase 4 of them. haha!

I’m having a hard time getting the bot to show me the brushes, but, I already have a zillion so… it’s probably for the best of my wallet.
Listen here, Carl...
