One Deluxe Reverb and just about any Tube Screamer you might have laying around opens the door to so many ridiculously good noises. Even if you don't care for TS-style pedals, they complement this amp so well because of the mid-boost nature of the pedal, making your tone just fit perfectly into the context of bass and drums. Point being, you don't really need any fancy or expensive pedals with this amp. It's like it just wants to sound good, no matter what you throw at it. Fantastic amp.
Not only a great demo of this classic amp, but also tasty playing with the classic guitars side by side was cool-- the amp lets the personality of each shine through...complimented by your beautiful and melodic improvisation!
Would have been cool for you to have shown the actual amp and pedal settings. Thats a great tone would help many people get a close sounding round blusey tone. Very nice
PuIIing the trigger on a 64 Hand wired today. Iove my oId Super Reverb, but it's just too heavy to cart around for any but the gigs I can really turn it up. Nice playing by the way, beautiful tones.
Mine is home built to the specs of the original per the schematic and the BlackVibe 6V6 by Rob Robinette. I LOVE the tone and natural harmonic distortion when using a Strat with dual rail Humbucker in the bridge. Love the work you do for us man. Please keep them coming.
I have a vintage '64 Fender Deluxe reverb amp with a Tone Tubby 12" Red Alnico speaker, but I think the best clean and overdriven tones is from my '92 Marshall JTM45 reissue amp I had handwired and put vintage Monarch Gold Lion KT66 power tubes in like the original amps had, and run through a '70's Marshall cabinet with 4 25 watt Celestion Greenback speakers.
Congrats! Sounds like a nice rig! I have been wondering about putting a Tone Tubby in my 68 CDR. Any comments on your Tone Tubby Red 12” Red? How does it compare to the stock speaker (and what was the stock speaker)?
I think you made a little mistake on the reverb settings. In the beginning part with your strat it sounds so good with just enough reverb. When you switched to ES335, it's really dry.
I have a Deluxe Reverb 65 reissue too. But it doesn’t take overdrive or distortion pedals too well (to my ears) in the reverb channel at low levels due to the bright cap. Yours sounded good, so wondered what volume you were playing at. Important in this amp as the bright cap only affects the tone below a certain volume.
@@beatbaker7420 i made a specific video about playing the DR at bedroom level > check it out here th-cam.com/video/fKCGGxdbF7g/w-d-xo.htmlsi=2ELrR6mcuSR7OqLh
I'm trying to get these tones!! Obviously, i get that it's mainly the way you play, but could you do a video of your guitar set up (335), rough pickup height positions, volume and tone positions. I found I'm getting close with lower pickup height positions, volumes around 3 and tone around 4 -5. Would be a great help to know yours? Thanks
i was one the first to bring KS guitars to europe in 2011. i was running the guitarshop www.primeguitars.ch at that time. my personal opinion: Kelton Swade guitars are absolutely fantastic instruments 🎸👍
Really tasteful playing, great sounding amp. Its too bad I somehow find myself with a million old 50s and 60s amps. I guess they just look and feel cool.
Since you’re running mono to a single amp, why are you using both stereo outputs from your delay into your reverb? As far as I know, most pedals with two stereo inputs and two stereo outputs will not sum their two inputs into a single one of their outputs. So, for example, if you had 8 repeats coming out of your stereo delay, and 4 where going into the left input of the reverb, and the other 4 were going into the right input of the reverb, you would only hear the 4 that are coming out the reverb’s single output, not all 8 that went into its two inputs. Unless maybe those TC Electronics pedals work differently than most do.
thanx for your comment. you probably misunderstood something. i just use the mono output from the TC to the amp. i would use a second amp to connect with the other TC output to get a stereo rig 👍
I´ve tried several guitar amps over the years and came to the conclusion that I only need one (or more) Deluxe Reverb Amps :)

Lovely tone and tasteful blues chops! Liked ✅ Subscribed✅ Cheers from 🇦🇺mate!
Great tones! Thank you for the demo
Vovox cables , I tried them and I love the clarity they bring to the sound

Some of the best playing and tone I've ever heard. Well done.
wow, really greatfull for your kind words 🙏
Amazing tone & playability! Planning on getting mine tomorrow!
Amazing! I only started learning guitar 7 weeks ago and I'm documenting my entire learning journey on here so as always, this is super motivational!
was für ein schönes Solo und was ein super schöner Ton - bei allen Pickup-Versionen.
Es tut richtig gut, so tolle Songs zu hören. Danke Dir.
vielen dank für die lieben worte jörg 🙏
Totally agree. I have one of these (and vintage amps) and it is absolutely the best pedal platform out there.

Nice sounding amps. Might have to get one.
Thanx alot Greg
Beautiful tones with all those lovely guitars. One day I aim to have one where I can play louder than whisper quiet.
thanx man 🙏

Wow! About time someone realized this amp existed and was good for blues. How have we never realized this!!!???
thanx man 🙏
Great job, woman.@@TomMarcozzi
can you give us the settings used in both amp and Vemuran paired with your strat?
at 2:00 you can see the settings if you zoom in 👍

I bought a small combo organ and a Fender Deluxe Reverb amp for $250.00 back in the late 60's, and man do I ever regret selling it!

how do you manage deluxe reverb in bedroom situation? using a guitar pedal? or an attenuator?

Hi, How loud was the amp in the room as in what was the volume setting on please?
the volume was on about 3… not too loud actually. will do a video about the exact settings on the amp and pedalboard very soon 👍

hey, thanx alot for your comment. i actually had the pots on my 335 all on 10 and pu hight regular, no special setup 👍

no it is a regular deluxe reverb that had some sort of modification… not shure what exactly though 😅
