    The Labor party's determination to deindustrialize Australia and return it to an agrarian economy is obvious, unfortunately they are destroying our agriculture at the same time, a typical example of the "well thought through" policies that we are getting from the present government. God knows the other lot haven't covered themselves in glory during their stint in power but at least they didn't set out to deliberately destroy our economy and social cohesion.

      It is about making us bankrupt so the UN, WEF and World Bank can take our resources. The resources for aluminium, steel, etc. come from Australia. We will still be exporting the raw materials and then importing value added products.

    The old economic saying,
    "It's the grid costs stupid."
    3 things.
    Generation
    Grid transmission
    Dispersed customers
    The grid is incredibly expensive and so, a little expensive electric energy, plus the rest as cheap fossil energy we are ok.
    The grid transmits to millions and millions of dispersed customers from the central generator
    No fossil fueled future means 5 times bigger national grid to deliver 5 times more electricity.
    The national grid is incredibly expensive.
    The first national grid has been built over 100years and costs as much as the national central electricity generation needs a 5 times bigger grid capacity to disperse to the customers.
    A little electricity energy over the expensive national grid, a fragile lightweight grid that was limited in capacity because of its $/klm construction costs, became expensive energy.
    But because it is fragile it can be broken like when the AC is turned up in the middle of the day.
    Forest fires started when the transmission lines heat and sag too low and close to the ground vegetation.
    Transmission lines blown over in stormy weather.
    Now, 5 times bigger grid, a robust grid, is economically horrendous financially.
    Also, it is horrendous in CO2 from the resources to finished giant grid and raw materials.
    All centralised electricity generation has this major problem and nobody is talking about it.
    EV talk all day long.
    Nuclear electricity talk all day long.
    Distant renewables talk all day long.
    Time frames, we don't have 100 years to build the bigger grid.

  • @ianenglish123
    @ianenglish123 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Its going to cost more if we don't. But wait Alcoa was losing $100,000,000 dollars a year before net zero policies were enacted. Should taxpayers subsidise American companies. Should taxpayers subsidise fossil fuel industry to the tune of $11 billion dollars a year only to be charged exorbitant rates by companies like Shell. Canavan seems to think so, why well its in his best financial interests.

  • @Wacko2-wrx
    @Wacko2-wrx 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    What Matt fails to mention is that new jobs are always created by changing technologies. When we transitioned from the horse and cart era jobs lost but new jobs were created to build vehicles. Change is the ongoing constant for example I started work drafting with paper and a pencil. Today it’s all done via computer with 3D modelling, 3D printing and can achieve details that would have been unimaginable 30 years ago. Renewables will bring positive benefits but it’s the transitioning which is the hard part but in 30 years the benefits will be appreciated.

    • @tombradshaw5164
      @tombradshaw5164 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Bowen could easily present himself on Sky, even regularly, and answer some scientific questions about CLIMATOLOGY. Would he condescend to do such a thing? No, of course not! Bowen knows nothing whatsoever about climatology, and, by the way, neither do you. You're capable of sarcasm, and general nastiness, but those "attributes" aren't constituents of meteorology/climatology.
      Don't forget that Albo promoted the YES campaign with OUR MONEY TOO, about $450 million dollars worth of it. I guess you think mass immigration isn't paid for via OUR MONEY as well.

  • @Ben-bh6lu

    How many jobs and billions of dollars did your party cost Australia Matt? You remember the Chinese trade sanctions? Those jobs and export earnings were mostly taken away from rural communities who your meant to represent. You can thank Labor for repairing that relationship but obviously you wont will you?

    • @schweppes59
      @schweppes59 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      wtf?! China suspended trade with AU, cos Australia asked them a simple question but China spat the dummy. In any event, AU's coal, barley ,wine etc etc still got to China via India for triple the price.
      Now that Albanese has got on his knees to suck Xi's dick & be branded a handsome boy, Xi has decreed to lift the suspension, but it looks like China's economy may be on the wane & it's a good thing that AU opened up other markets after China stuck the bottom lip out during Covid.
      China may be AU's biggest trading partner but that doesn't mean we gotta bend over & grab our ankles for them when they say so.
