Lloyd Austin indicates that US forces have not changed their posture after the crash in the longtime adversary. First of all, nobody in their right minds flies a helicopter through thick fog. Standard procedure here in the USA. Those men attempted the impossible with a 45 year old helicopter, in a mountainous terrain. Fools
The presidential convoy consisted of three helicopters. Two arrived at their destination, so it wasn't an impossible mission. But fatality in such weather conditions is always around the corner. In 2020 there was a very similar accident, the Calabasas helicopter crash, with an American helicopter and, obviously, a lot of fog.

The causes of the helicopter crash could be either mechanical errors , severe weather or pilot carelessness
Or sabotage from inside the leadership. Raisi was the first in line to take over the supreme leadership of Iran when Khamenei died or wasn't able to continue anymore. Khamenei's son was second in line and Raisi was between him and that supreme leadership.

Blame the damn fools who took off to fly a Helicopter in the Mountains knowing there was bad weather .
The weather was clear when they took off. I am not saying they did not make a mistake but it may not as black and white as you put it. It is likely that the Raisi made the decision. Ever since he became the president he has faced the threat of being killed. He has a lot of obligations and probably figured that since there was no guarantee the next day would be any better, he may as well go on. I know from personal experience that when that threat is always hanging over your head, you begin to see another threat as just the routine. Anyway, we should wait until the investigation is complete.

There may be the black box for helicopters. The Bell Helicopter company team must be included in the investigation along side or immediately after the investigation of Iranian govt to figure out about the cause of crash whether it is due to technical reasons. Sudden crash is a shock to all the people.

The frickin helicopter was flying in the fog and snow in mountainous terrain. He lost his orientation flying in the bad weather that he shouldn't have been flying in. It happened to the pilot who was flying Kobe Bryant. Neither the US nor Israel nor Russia had to do anything. The pilots did it to themselves either on purpose or by accident.
Sanctions doesn't make any sense for an excuse because Iran could have purchased Aircrafts from Russia!.

For once, the Washington District of Criminals may not have been directly involved. It’s nearly impossible for the Iranian government to maintain American-manufactured Bell 212 helicopters under US sanctions. It's absurd; the Bell 212 should be in a museum. They are already difficult to maintain without sanctions. I have lost four colleagues flying those old aircraft over the years. Even if equipped with a flight director, they are unreliable, and no one can fix them properly nowadays. Most likely, the crash is due to CFIT (Controlled Flight Into Terrain), similar to the situation in Kobe Bryant's helicopter crash, where the pilot attempted to navigate initially in visual meteorological conditions (VMC) but inadvertently encountered instrument meteorological conditions (IMC) in a mountainous region. Even when flying a state-of-the-art helicopter, fog penetration training is still necessary.
