    First month that I try to elongate my cycle. I ate some brazil nuts for selenium, I loaded up on fresh orange juice (both orange and red ones, delicious, I forgot how much I love fresh orange juice and I think I was deficient in vitamin C), and I took some primrose oil and a bit of folic acid and vitamin C. I am on CD26 now and I counted that only 5 out of my last 20 cycles were longer than 26 days so I count this as a win because I don't see my period coming any day soon. However, I could be pregnant, too. I'm excited either way! If I am pregnant, it definitely means that the supplements helped to build enough lining.

    Started slowly extending my cycle. First new cycle now after only trying vitamin C, some B complex, iron and some flax seed. My last cycle was 25 days, and my period was already longer, like 6 days and more spotting. Will make a schedule to see when I should take everything. I'm not gonna use chasteberry.

    I'm 38 and I've noticed in the last 12 months my 28 day cycle is more often 23-26 days. I'm wondering if the vitex supplement would be good for me in addition to seed cycling

    I thought its my age doing this to me (super short cycle, only 16-18 days between periods). I will research more - I do believe food is key.

    I have read almost everywhere that primrose is taken from menstruation to ovulation. Thats the follicular phase. You mentioned the Leutal phase. Could you clarify?

      I know this answer is coming late, but yes - the follicular phase is in between menstruation and ovulation. Are you still taking evening primrose oil?

      I take Physalis primrose oil and it is definitely made against pmdd which is in the luteal phase (OV to period)

    Is there anything other than vitex to naturally increase progesterone levels. I find anytime I take it it causes more spotting and bleeding like not having much of a gap or lutheal phase causes spotting.

    • @CycleCoachAcademy
      @CycleCoachAcademy 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Smiles. Other things to increase progesterone: balancing your blood sugar (eat a combo of fiber, fat and protein every 2-3 hours), getting rid of inflammatory foods (gluten and dairy are the main culprits), support estrogen detox (more fiber + liver support) & managing stress. Lastly, wild yam is a common recommendation for increasing progesterone, but I strongly recommend running that one by your doc.

    My last cycle was 30 days long, and I had 3 days of spotting leading up to my period. I tested for ovulation and according to the strips I would have ovulated around day 16. Is it possible that I didn't ovulate because I had spotting before my period for a few days?

  • @PLT722

    Ever since my miscarriage two years ago I have weekly (!), yes, weekly cycle, with all the usual signs of monthly cycle condensed into 7 days ( (1-2 days of light spotting with some cramps ). I’ve seen many natural practitioners taken many herbs, it’s not budging. My FSH seems normal range, my estrogen climbs up for 1-2 days, falls after peak day, then rises back with progesterone for one day before starting to drip again. What could be the trouble ? It’s like my body keeps gearing towards ovulation but gets stopped too early 🤔

    • @CycleCoachAcademy
      @CycleCoachAcademy 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      If you cycle is still 23/24 days long. The middle of your cycle (ovulation) is the day after your basal body temperature spikes. Are you tracking your cycle and taking your temp!
