It was fun getting to see Chris Evans play a bad guy right after he retired from playing Captain America. He reminded me of Billy in Scream, how he was too obvious to be the killer & we were tricked into thinking he was completely innocent only for him to be revealed as the killer anyway. Such great writing! In fact both Knives Out scripts were nominated for Oscars: Best Original Screenplay for this one & Best Adapted Screenplay for Glass Onion.

Benoit hits the piano key every time an interview starts to get into the weeds. It's his cue for Lieutenant Elliot to steer the conversation back on course by having him specifically ask each person what time they arrived at the house.

27:07 nope. That family is NOT entitled to ANY portion of the estate whatsoever. That is always solely up to the discretion of whomever is the decedent - in this case, Harlan. If he thought those greedy, selfish, nihilistic, conniving snakes were undeserving, then their entitlement was was unearned.

The only way they could claim it would be if there was no will, or the will was invalidated, which is what Ransom's original plan was aimed towards doing.

Rian Johnson & Daniel Craig have said that they want to keep making further films in the series as long as they both are involved. The 3rd movie is already in the works. Rian joked that he’s gonna keep making them until Daniel blocks him on his phone 😭 Excited to watch your Glass Onion reaction tonight!

Harlan has a line earlier on in the film that goes "there is so much of me in Ransom, confident, stupid, protected. Playing life like a game with no consequences, until you can't tell the difference between a stage prop, and a real knife." I love that because it hints at the truth about Ransom's motives and obviously, the pay off with the knife at the end.
Had a great time rewatching this one with you seems like you has as much fun as the rest of us! Can' wait for your Glass Onion reaction!

I really like this movie. As you said, Matty, is its very entertaining, superb casting, many great actors enjoying their roles so much (I bet Chris Evans was so hyped to get out of his pigeon hole after so many Cap replays), funny, very cleverly written, chaotic, and just generally a pleasure to watch. Can't wait for your Glass Onion reaction, RIan Johnson as writer-director did his best to keep you engaged in a sequel!

41:49 no trust me, the less talking the better, especially for this movie. sometimes when people talk, you kind of miss minor or major details

Ketoralac (generic for Toradol) - analgesic/NSAID (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory). 100 mg is a pretty stout dose...... (I take 10, maybe 20, with my migraine meds just to assist, so I cannot imagine how great I would feel with 100!)

I'm surprised you haven't reviewed or seen this movie before!! I've seen it 3 times already and I still love how this movie is wonderfully written and directed. It's not too fast paced and not too slow in other parts either. I love how original the script is and how well casted it is because they actually look and feel like they could be a real family. There's so many quotable moments in this ranging from, "You tell her or I will", "I think this is the best thing that can happen to all of you", and my favorite, "Were you boinking my father?!"

Hey, Boy-That's-Too-Cute-To-Be-Straight-But-Sadly-Is (aka Matty), murder mysteries are really great films - and books, for those of us who actually enjoy reading and don't mind being called nerds or four-eyed freaky friendless wierdo losers... by our own parents - especially the comedy ones like these. If you enjoyed this, then I highly recommend Clue: The Movie from 1985, based on the board game. It was one of this film's influences. Also, the sequel to this - The Glass Onion - is really amazing, too (unless you're crybaby Ben Shapiro who just doesn't understand movies, or thinks everything is liberal propaganda). But The Glass Onion is different. This is a cozy mystery, Glass Onion is more conspiracy/action.
And if you are really enjoying mysteries, might I suggest the Poirot CineVerse based on the novels by the best-selling mystery author of all time, Agatha Christie. Murder On The Orient Express and Death on the Nile starring and directed by Sir Kenneth Branagh (played Prof. Gilderoy Lockhart in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets).

Please don't. Kenneth Branagh's movies are simply bad. Try Granada TV's series, with David Suchet - he is an iconic Poirot.
