Really lovely job from start to finish. Interested in the tinted cement that you used through out the build and the subtle weathering, just enough, but not so you lose the form and contour of the surfaces. Really attractive subject too, , this from a biplane modeller!
Used as a night fighter in Korea during the war. It had the highest number of aircraft downed by a naval fighter and also flew during Vietnam, but no longer in the fighter role. A long (relativity) career for an aircraft of this time period.
Great build. Your rendering of this aircraft is beautiful. I like the format of the video edition. In just 10 minutes, you cover the whole building process in a very informative way. Thank you for sharing.
Very nice looking finished model! I'm sorry you didn't include the technique you used for the extensive chipping in the paint job, though. I think that really makes the final look. Have you covered that in a previous video?
I've seen this kit around and wondered about the quality. Thanks for this video. As you were applying the light gray oil wash, I was wondering if you were going to apply a final sealing coat. Then, bam, your final reveal. Personally, I liked the gloss or at least a semi-gloss.
Do you find better AK gauzy than Tamiya or MR. color transparent and why did you brushed and not sprayed ? BTW Fantastic job, not my target of airplane)))))
Thanks Marco.i find the Ak gauzy not better but much easier and convinient to use.I brushpainted it because it was easier and I did not had to clean the airbrush :D
Nicely done. A question though: do you tint your cement or does it come with a black tint? I have been building models for more than 50 years and I have never seen that in a product. I can see definite advantages in having a tinted liquid cement.
Thank you :) nope I dont tint the cement.Mr.Hobby produces a cement called Mr.Cement SP Black and it is a factory tinted quick drying modelling cement.Quite handy i must admit.
Жгуты проводки пт левому и правому борту были только на опытных машинах задействованных при испытаниях управляемых ракет. На этом 106 их не было! Построенная модель не соответствует прототипу.
