This was a treat. I'm contemplating starting a no buy cuz I've been sliding back into every night shopping - my mom died after a year battling brain cancer and my way of self soothing has been buying what ever I want, but I feel like I'm ready to start the real grief work instead of numbing. Anyways I'm slowly moving into selfcare instead of self soothing.
You’re really killing this look! 🔥 I’m doing a No-Buy July for all hobby purchases since I do compulsively shop sometimes and forget to appreciate what I have. Stationery, tarot, and clothes are the biggest temptations here. Have to pause the buying cycle so I can breathe and remember what I already have, and/or to make what I have WORK for me. Cool for you that your favorite perfume is your own creation!
WOOOO SHE IS RISEN. To proudly and confidently claim you've beat an addiction is absolutely incredible! SO happy for you! Coming into a life that you know is for you is just!! No words. Welcome back!
So happy to see you back! I resonated with a lot of what you said. Definitely with the feeling of withdrawal when a package doesn’t come. The hit me like a ton of bricks and it NEEDED to. So thank you for sharing this ♥️
I wanted to add one of my favorite witchy budget tips! For spread clothes I love to use bandanas and vintage scarves from the thrift store. They have a lot of personality and also act as a great wrap to store a deck! Pretty tarot bags are great, but I no longer can afford it so I either embrace the box the deck comes in or a wrap. Also repurposing and decorating a cell phone box or other box that size is another great option.
I also have under the sink shampoo and conditioner. I've slowly been using it up. It has made my "good" shampoo and conditioner last a long time. That's a good value! 😂 I don't really have a shopping addiction, but I know what you mean about waiting for a package. Just knowing a package is on the way can be addicting. Also, you look fabulous! Love the makeup and hair!
So nice to see you back! 😍 I missed you 😊 Very sobering thoughts about shopping... There's definitely something I need to revise in my life. Thank you for sharing your reflections!
I needed this. I did pretty well, and then went through some stuff... just feeling worn down and off I went on a self soothing buying jag... ahhhh. Your words are so very welcome!
Eeeeeee! 😘Also, the "I'm not melancholy... says the goth girl😅" was too funny! But seriously I have the same thing where I'm like "I'm not weird and scary" and then no one who comes over wants to spend any time in my witchy room 🤔Too many masks and skulls etc for them, but not yet enough vintage taxidermy and staring paintings for me. I think the rubric must shift over time. Loved this video!!!
So happy to see you back! Love your videos, love to hear your thoughts and see your lovely face. 🥰 I 100% agree about finding witchy things at antique shops or thrift stores. I have found the most beautiful pieces for my altar from secondhand places and the price was always right and they all have a story behind them which adds to the magic. I've had to really put myself in check when it comes to online shopping as well, it's such a black hole and freeing yourself from that black hole is AMAZING. It's an accomplishment in today's time and I congratulate you on this journey and wish you all the best for the rest of 2024 and beyond. 💜
I do the same thing with the 7 day candles! I print copies of whatever the candle is about, and just tape them on. I'll add oils, herbs, crystal chips, maybe draw a sigil on with a Sharpie. They can be ordered by the dozen from dollartree online, too! I've gotten tons of candles at the thrift store, and also get smaller white candles sold for Jewish traditions at the grocery store super inexpensively. I've been experimenting with making my own oils, I make my own protection and peace oils since I wear those daily. 😊 I don't wear makeup anymore since I'm old and it makes me look older, but I do use a moisturizing gel wash since it keeps my face skin soft. I'm so glad you are feeling so good, and fulfilled. You look cobtent and joyous! ❤
"Disintegration", "Wish", "Kiss me Kiss me Kiss me" are all up there 🤩👂👌 There have been days when I (still) listen to "Kiss me Kiss me Kiss me", "Just Like Heaven", "Why Can't I Be You", "How Beautiful You Are" and "The Forest" on loop, all day long... Ah! Memories... I happen to agree with The Cure lovin' as I share the love for the band, fellow goth here (and I know how much Robert Smith hates for the band to be tied to the goth movement in general, but I happen to be and like both), though I no longer dress like one :D I enjoyed your honesty, and I wish you a lovely day! Joy 💚🤍🌻🌼🌱🪴💐🐞👋👋
@MixtressRae 😅😅 It ended at 11 minutes, then now the whole thing is playing. What the heck, lol!! There are a couple of other channels that did the same thing yesterday. It must have been a glitch. You look fabulous, I must add. I get excited when I see video from you. 😊 Ok, off to watch the res. ❤❤
I also like your 7 day tarot candle diy and your music revuew. That's ny cousin's favorute band. I don't know much. I've been likung Misfits and getting in to Modest Mouse again. Yes! Music!!! Enjoy your food! You too ❤
"Pornography" is my favourite Cure-Album too 🖤 Second place is shared by "Faith", "The Walk", "Disintegration" and "The Head On The Door". Then there are a few songs from various albums that I like a lot: First and foremost "A Forest" and "Charlotte Sometimes" ... but I more or less like almost everything by The Cure from the 80s 💙and very little from the 90s ... and what you said about your relationship to music is almost exactly how I see it 💜
Thank you Mixtress I needed to listen to The Cure today and now for the whole month straight.❤ Nice timing for a return with the Jupiter ingress into Gemini btw ;) My old favs are sprinkled across the *80s collection...looking forward to discovering new interpretations in this ever shifting reality.
Ah, the whining 90's! 😅 You are kinda cheerful for a gothgirl. 🖤💋 Looking fabulous by the way, your no buy life has made you bloom! I will always love the Smiths.
Whoa, Bloodflowers and Three Imaginary Boys in D Tier, yikes!!! I'm sorry, but Three Imaginary Boys (or Boys Don't Cry, the US compilation of that first album) is much better than Bloodflowers. I'm gonna get some hate for this, but I feel like Disintegration is overrated. I know, I know, my goth card is being reviewed for that statement. Seventeen Seconds, Japanese Whispers, and Faith are definitely my top 3.

Hang in there. 🫶

I’m so glad there’s only boring stuff coming out because it’s been saving me a bunch of $$$

This ended way too soon. 😢
Sorry! That was an impulsive premiere and I realized I didn’t even have the time to sit through it. 🤣🤣

Goth girls are some of the happiest ppl ever because we wallow thoroughly when we need to. Shadow work, baby! 😎🐦⬛
You're very beautiful 🖤🌹

This elder goth agrees! LOL
Y’all are both wrong. Three Imaginary Boys is mostly garbage. 🤣🫶💋
I agree Disintegration is kind of overrated, but I still love it.
