Glad you enjoy our New Flyer buses. I have worked for New Flyer for 5 years and enjoy hearing positive feedback. More and more battery electric and hydrogen electric buses coming over the next two years forecast!
I work for nova and hoping when we close in 7 months that new flyer comes in. Would love to see 2 new flyer locations in the US deff since mta is getting over 2000
As a frequent bus rider I really enjoyed watching this video of a clean brand new and quiet public bus which surprisingly living in Orlando FL I have never experienced!
@@devonsatchell ohhh mb, yes the buses do have to be plugged in to charge. About that, NICE is currently having issues setting up the chargers so that’s why it hasn’t been out too much lately, that’s also the reason why it’s mostly operating on routes like the n16 and n43, for the time being at least.
Believe it or not, I didn’t find this out until last Friday but when I rode 2080 on the n6 that day, I just noticed that it had USB charging ports in the back section of the bus ONLY.
We got some here in our fleet in Ottawa, Canada as well. Us Canadians sure do know how to make good buses 😊. I just wish they brought back more of the diesel New Flyers
I personally miss the days when New Flyer was manufacturing buses that were NOT Xcelsiors, it would’ve been really cool to see those old models make a come back to the market. It would’ve also been cool if Orion was still around to this day but it is what it is.
@@NeilQVLGA6455 I work as a Bus Operator and I personally drive the New Flyer D60LFR’s and and New Flyer D40i Inveros daily. Some of the nicest buses I’ve driven, and they handle beautifully through turns, and are fast. Our oldest New Flyer is from 2003 and still drives with about 950,000km (about 590k miles).
I’m a bus operator here in Ottawa and we have lots of New Flyers in our fleet. Some of my favorite buses to drive are the artics. Super comfortable and surprisingly easy to turn. Too bad they’re getting old. I drive the New Flyer D60LFR regularly. We also have a couple of the D40i Inveros.
@@NeilQVLGA6455 I read that somewhere months back. The article was saying that NICE was expanding Mitchel Field Depot to accomdate Electric buses and charging systems across the street and it would be right on time for the next electric bus order in 2025. Seems NICE will be buying a mix of Electric and CNG buses in the forseeable future.
For those of you who catch these buses on a normal or near normal basis, have the maintenance on these buses improved over the years or is it about the same?
I thought I’d never seen a comment about CT transit but yeah tho one of the XE40s caught fire which in a result pulled out our XE40s in the fleet but they’re back bc new flyer placed in warning systems also this is my first comment here in this channel
Does it have USB ports? If not, then what was the point of obtaining these buses if it doesn’t have USB ports or “Next Stop…..””This Stop Is……”. They have the screen, so why not do that alone with busfographics? Okay. After watching it a 2nd time, it does have USB ports. Just hope it works. Though the other questions still stands.
@@AlgonquinRider810 you’re not wrong there, I think the add-on of USB charging ports to buses is a little bit more expensive, I could be wrong on that.

both the MTA AND NICE have been eating good with XE40s this past while 😂
Bee Lines too. Remember, they got 6 of these, ( 2 XE40s and 4 XE35s).

Ooooh very interesting, it’s likely I may have seen him operating before!
Do the buses have overhead charges or plug ins??? Either way good luck in the winter with them
Unfortunately no, our electric will not feature the USB charging ports. I’m very interested to see how these will perform in the snow 👀

Very quiet and I like the paint job they have. NICE with that bright Orange paint scheme.
This is by far the most interesting livery for a bus I’ve ever seen in my life.
That’s actually really cool, can’t wait to head down to LI again to catch this. Hopefully you can join me again lol
Hopefully one of these days
Those New Flyer XE40 drive smoother than GilligBRT plus
It definitely does feel that way
I can’t wait till the rest of these arrive. Still can’t believe electrics are coming to LI
welp nice, welcome to the gang of electrics!
Couldnt they add in some usb chargers or wifi on the bus though? Sad none on the gilligs or the prior new xn40 order 😒
