When you export a track that's clipping into audio and pass it onto the engineer (the usual way), the engineer won't be able to revert to the "clean" version, the track (kick in this example) will be distorted forever. It's the producers job to prevent clipping.
Yeah who knows ;) To be honest theres nothing wrong with it in the official released version, it sounds clean. Still it kinda looks unprofessional, doesn't take away from the final cut though!

He muted some sounds and didn't explain them for some reason. You can tell that there's additional layers in the original beat, like a choir sound in the chorus for an example. Also it's visible in the playlist in the logic project that there were muted.
