- This is a tutorial on how to solo the Alpha Dragon on the Island with one Deinonychus. This shows the stats for the dino and player that i use plus the gear and reward you get for beating the boss. Yea.. I feel like peoples tutorials should be on official servers, and I'm no "official snob" but it gives players a much better/more accurate baseline of Information to work from.

I wish theyd fix the dragon body glitching. Thats why you couldn’t move at the end its stupid but it is Wild Card after all.

They need to simply make the corpse harvestable.. they're just fucking lazy and they think it's funny when people get stuck. Trust me.. most of those devs are ego driven assholes who would take a couple hundo as a bribe to dev wipe your base and then deny your tickets you submit about the matter, personally. Thanks for the tutorial, but doesn't the Deino bleed cap off at 600% melee? or did you just have it's melee be that high for pure bite damage?
Bite helps for the minions, but bleed it till cap.

You can do with 9 k health with 1 i did on legacy server

Hey dude awesome video, two questions:
A) is the bleeding effect is the reason you can actually damage the dragon enough to kill him with only 1 dino, yes?
B) Is there a reason why you don't try to latch onto the dragon? I have seen people do that with the manticore - just wondering, I'm a beginner

A: Yes, it is thru the bleed effect that you can kill him with one.
B: If you latch on to him he may fly away and things can go wrong very fast in that fight. I latched on once and the dragon flew away and died almost instantly.

Being the paranoid idiot I am, I tried beta with a pack of about 13 deinos, a yuty and a magmasaur (for the complete fire negation). My dei's had 18k hp minimum and most around the 1400-1500% melee range, albeit 1 or 2 with 1200%. I figured the more the merrier as opposed to just using 1. The deino's were dying to 1-2 bites max with each attack it did. It chunked them off immediately, and while I started with riding my yuty for a buff, once it died I hopped on a dei and starting attacking its left leg. Ultimately, it lived a lot longer than the others. It did still eventually die from a bite as it was already super low, though I guess my question is would this be better/easier with just 1 deino or should there be a pack? I really did just assume people use 1 because they can, not because it actually made the fight more likely to win, but after what I went through, it seems like using a deino works so well because it's underfoot and doesn't take nearly as many bites? I think I really just got freaked out at the premise of really only bringing on dino in with me, though the unridden deis just got obliterated, so I just wanted to get some more input
One is enough for this fight, once you get under the dragon you will be mostly outside of his hit box but you will be able to damage him and the bleed effect from the deino is what does most of the work to get that fight done with quick. Any extra deinos are more than likely to die. But i find one is the best. In the unlikely event that you die it will only be 1 deino, instead of a group, even tho they are pretty quick to grow and decent saddle helps as well.

@@therealfett9580 My mistake the first time was using a pack of deinos. I got it down using the one, though I did practice a few times in single player first. I also think Fjordur's dragon is bugged rn where the deino bleed doesn't work on it

Takes months of breeding to hit 1500 melee on anything though lol. What about for servers that wipe every month or two?
We tried as duo with 20 deinonychus about 6.5k hp and 360dmg and nothing, we dont kill him... we tried 2 times but nothing, our deinos die in the first min.. dont know why. Maybe we should try solo
you just use one per player, follow that strategy and you will beat him. Dinos without riders tend to get caught in the fire breath and on alpha it does 20% damage plus he does extra damage to carnivores.
See 18.4k HP and close do 1500 melee on this single Deino... a lot of breed mutations on it, and an ascendent saddle makes all the difference.
How did you get it to level 400+? the highest egg I could find was 150. (new to a lot of this)

How did you get a deinonychus so high level? I got level 150 eggs, but the babies are still 150 after imprint, and their babies are level 150. The only way for me to raise their base level is to mutate them, but even fully mutated and fully leveled, I cannot reach 400+ by my calculations.

you can stack mutations, the ones i use are born at 377 and i level them to 400+ before boss fights.
@@mugenplays6060 Ahh the starting lvl of the Deino was what I was looking for. As of now I am breeding them and max lvl so far is around 330-340. Still working on getting the better stats all into 2-3 then work on mutations. I do not have any of the tek stuff unlocked so I can only do with what I have.

Yes sir it does. Unlocks dedicated storage, teleport, cloner, parts of the tek armor and more goodies on alpha.

Well if you play official or in unofficial that have crystal isles
Transfer there and get the artifacts from there they are very easy

I just now did this.... My deinonychus stats were 6500hp 815% melee not bred and a 116 armor saddle.
Got the dragon to 50% hp, got lit on fire once and mauled by the pertas/dimos twice and then my deino was dead.
Good luck trying this on official or with official vanilla stats on a dedicated.

Came back to share this video to a friend and seen this. Yes this works on officials. I just did it with 18k hp and 1350 melee with 121 saddle
obviously you didn't look at the stats on his deino very closely, yours is WAY under his stat wise and that makes a huge difference.
@@angelbaby6638 i did do it eventually after like 3 tries. I was just saying, unless you've got really nice bred deinonychus it's not gonna be as easy as the video... thats why I posted my stats and said it wasn't bred 😀
I did it with a deino with 2.6k health 350 melee with a 60% percent saddle on offical pvp, but to be fair it was beta

Why do you keep the health under 20k?
The fire damage from the dragon is percentage based, plus it kinda doesnt go too crazy on the deino for some reason.

Its Official PVE. SO everything in the videos i post IS obtainable. NO hacks.

around 125 hp and 180-190 melee mutations.

How do you get a 150 egg you find in the wild to levels like these with stats like these? Stat mutations? Sounds like it takes months and months.

you make breeding chains, of like 10-15 dinos and then with proper organisation you can get like a 40 mutation or more in some days, mostly because breeding stats are pumped up

how often can you run the alpha dragon fight? 3 times a day? every half hour? Once a day? is there a cool down time you must wait between fights?
I believe not. Getting the tributes to do them that often is another thing.
For example, the giga hearts for the alpha one.

15k dmg for 437 level is impossible. You can kill with even dodo at modded servers if settings are crazy enogh.

@@atiabi8409 My Rates are similar I had floating names I did only 330 Dmg for Bites the bleed did up to 2500 Only difference it makes it my max levels are 180 for me and I only had 2 Melee mutations and 1 Health

Good Job, i did Gamma yesterday and it was a breeze with the one Deinonychus, from whati've read, if you and the Dino use Wyverns milk the firebreath doesn't affect you but i haven't tried it
Yes, the wyvern milk does null the flame damage as well as bleed from dinos such as carno, thyla and gigas.
Can you feed the milk to the dino for the dino to null the damage as well?
@@MySwagasaurusRex Yes you can, the wyvern milk buff gives immunity against the burn effect of the dragon

Theris with a Yuti and a Daedon. Be sure to have veggie cakes in the Theris so they heal.

@@mr_token3373 OP asked for island only advice. While you can get megalosaurs in the caves, they are VERY rare and usually poor levels. and there are no Velos on island.

I just did it on gamma with a deino with 17k health 2k melee 1k stamina (approx) but I did get hit quite some times while attacking the left foot and I barely made it.
Maybe I moved too much? There was also some lag which affected me. I believe the video but can't figure out what I did wrong
Glad it could help, the best thing is to try to run to the left foot as soon as it lands, and try to stay under it right in front of the foot. A good saddle helps too specially with the minions.
