One day, he arrives in his Clark Kent costume, and no one spares him a second glance. It is not the intelligence level of the people around Superman, it is the intelligence level of people. For another example, Hugh Jackman went to a convention in his Wolverine costume. Only two people went up to him, and one of them did so to tell him that he was too tall to be Wolverine.
A lot of the Superman thing is that nobody would look at an office worker and assume that’s ACTUALLY Superman. It’s “you LOOK just like Superman.” Like, random people look like celebrities sometimes.
One Halloween, I left a bowl of apples and sprite out because I couldn't find the candy we bought the other day. I was genuinely surprised that the bowl was emptied, like... You'd think with those past PSA's, their parents would have been like "no"
