Winter is Coming! Getting the Woodstove Installed - Just in Time!

- In this video, Lewis shows the latest updates to the Quonset hut, hooks up power at the house, lays some tile, and lights the first fire in the woodstove. He's working hard to get as much done as he can before heavy snowfall hits the mountain passes.
Stay tuned for the next video because we are now ready for wiring and insulation! Having the woodstove going will make that work much more comfortable. Right now all that wonderful heat is just going right out the roof! Be sure to check out some of our other videos to see what we've done in the past year since we bought this property.

18 inches from the front of the woodstove to the edge of the heat shield you made?
it's 16 inches here in the US.
Thanks for watching! In our area, it's 18" front, 8" sides. It's also 18" between the wall and the pipe if it is single wall, as ours is. Thanks again, cheers!
