This was able to resolve my issue in the 2015 Ford F-150 XLT I use, thank you! My issue was where as soon as I played any audio through my phone (TH-cam, Spotify, etc.), SYNC would not only not play the audio, but then also say the Bluetooth device was disconnected after a second - rinse and repeat
When I went to check on the passenger fuse box for my Ford Focus 2015, the fuse for the radio frequency receiver does not have one, so does that mean I am missing it or is the problem something else. Because before my phone would connect but now the SYNC name doesn’t appear as a Bluetooth device on my phone anymore.
Someone else in the comments recommended this additional step : (Press both the radio power button and the right search arroy for about 5-10 seconds. A message will appear advisinv of sync reset. Turn off the vehicle for a couple of minutes then turn it back on. Wait a couple of minutes for Sync to re-initialize.)
@Contabulator so I replaced the fuse and I still can't get it to work? Any other tips? I also looked ang according to ford I need and update on the synk you think that's my problem?
Didn’t work. Same problem, sync won’t even let me go into setting, seems to have trouble even I initializing. Media button does nothing. I wonder if I need to update the software?

2014 F150 XLT - Fix worked on first try. Unfortunately, since then, bluetooth connection is random and unpredictable. Have repeated fix, but no change. This became an issue because I didn’t follow the owner manual's step sequence. Im gonna try a couple of things i read in the comments. 🤞

egad, what a mess. If your vehicle is equipped with a Power button on the entertainment center, press and hold both the Power button (center of the Volume knob) and the Seek Right button** for 10 seconds.
Sometimes you have to pull the fuse and start the vehicle and let it run for a few minutes. Turn the vehicle off and wait five or 10 minutes before putting the fuse back in. that method has worked for some folks.

I ended up going to Ford's website and downloading an updated version to my pc. The original was 3.3xxx, the new is 3.4xxx. Extracted it to jump drive formatted to what's called exfat, not fat32, which wouldn't work. After installing and following the instructions, it now works great!! Seems even better than the original version!!! Do this!!! 😁

Great! It is super frustrating when our technology lets us down! I’m glad the video helped.
Subbed! This just saved a whole lot of hassle for the family on our Christmas trip. Thank you Mr Fred!
Thanks for the sub!
Worked like a charm!

Thanks this video solved my problem.

Sometimes leaving the fuse out for a period of time while you drive the vehicle will allow it to reboot. Good luck!
@marcwheels1873 did you find a fix? My media button in my 2016 Ford Fusion won't work either. I push it, and it goes right back to radio.
I need to try leaving the fuses out for longer I guess. Nothing has worked so far.
Going through the same thing myself and when I click on sync it tells me sync connection error, idk what to do atp
@@lopez4860 did you ever find a fix for this
Thanks! It works at 1st try
Awesome!
I tried it and it did not work. Same issues. Thanks for trying!

Great tip!
Worked like a charm much easier and faster. Thank you
If it's easier for you, you can also just pop off the negative battery cable and put right back on with the same result.
I was just getting ready to pull the fuse, and read this.Tried it and it worked.Thanks.
@mr.fix-it7059 it completely worked thank you I was so nervous to pull a fuse
Wouldn't disconnected battery do the same?
Perhaps, I don’t like to disconnect the battery and reset all of the emissions sensor bs if I can avoid it

The fact that you have to pull a fuse to get your Bluetooth to work says how garbage Ford is!!!
Sync is "powered by microsoft", They don't build the radio, just like any other manufacturer, they assemble "globally sourced" parts.
My Bluetooth doesn't even show up on my radio despite disconnecting/reconnecting the battery AND pulling and reinstalling the Synch fuse. Any ideas?
