- And we're off to mount Laguna. Beautiful rolling hills with amazing views. There were a few water crossings, one of which was very wide and very deep. We helped each other across. I ended up camping by a beautiful creek whose running water was very soothing too sleep by.

@@richardinjapan4578 mostly injury or they get discouraged. Thru hiking beats up your body and some people are miserable on trail. Maybe they miss their family or in just to much pain. Who knows why they quit. It's different for everyone

Very interesting it has a very different feel from the AT looking forward to seeing more...I followed your AT Hike as well as Hiking Dancer's..
Ya it's a different feel. I think that's why I've adjusted the music as well. It has an old western feel to it so I use more southern style music.

Loving the trail! Very different than the AT. What’s the biggest challenge so far in this kind of terrain?
The weather is the biggest factor so far. Crazy hot during the day and down to freezing at night.

@@AdventureQuencherI see. Walking: good. Extended periods at high altitude: could be a challenge. That will be a delicate set of parameters to balance -- especially in the Sierra. Will be cheering you on. Please take care and be safe.
Two questions: First, is that a SkyGoat jacket you are wearing? I have one and love it! Second, do you watch Featureman on TH-cam? He also features a T Rex in his videos. 😀. Yes a Skygoat. I don't watch anyone on TH-cam. No time. Maybe later. Baby Bax has been with me since the AT last year but I hear a few of them are now bringing mascots as well. The more the merrier. Yes I'll work on the volume balances.
