Whaaaat? Wow I totally didn't realize the ground glass had the slots to lock this into the Graflok back. I just went straight to the second way to mod it. I looped a string through one side of the retaining clip to avoid struggling to remove it (ie 6:19). My spring back seemed to sag a bit with the reflex viewer as well, it seems like a common issue. I find it a million times more easy to focus and especially compose my shot with this accessory.
the MP4 was discontinued years ago, so anything you find will be on the second-hand market... i just so happened to find this hood/reflex viewer for sale by itself on ebay. keep an eye out, they pop up for sale every so often.

Thanks for posting this video. I am modifying a MP-4 reflex viewer to a Graflok back. This is just the ticket.
Is it possible to rotate the hood and then have the viewer in portrait ?
Nice video , thanks for sharing !
unfortunately no, the hood does not have a rotating mechanism.
Thanks for the great idea!
I would like to know how to set the infinity focus on my Speed Graphic mountind a 101mm Ektar lens
Is the view head sold separate or does one have to buy the whole Polaroid MP4 Sliding Head assembly?

I had to watch this at 1.5x speed, you have a lot of pauses in between your sentences.
