I’ve been a long time Zoom user, but I didn’t think I would overly care for the G2 Four, but I’m loving it. Their user interface and methodology is a little different or strange but not hard to learn. I don’t like that they charge $.99 for the G2 FOUR app on the Apple Store, but it is very useful and faster when creating patches. I hope you enjoy yours.
Great demo. I set up my unit up the same way that you did when connecting to a laptop. I just prefer this over the USB directly. It does work, but, I just like having a stereo output. If you can do it via USB, I would enjoy another video.
Only if you know how to pull a stereo feed via USB into your DAW in your laptop. I like the fact that GX2 Four has the interface, i am getting better results including a stereo feed setup via a PreSonus or Behringer type USB interface via L & R output from Zoom. If you know how to do it via USB directly, that would be great. I also seem to have to pull the volume up in the DAW when recording directly via the USB output from the GX2 Four. Not a show stopper, just a preference. The USB is a great feature and an improvement from say a Zoom G3n.
Hi, found the video really helpful. Just one question can the amp block be bypassed so I could use it for effects only the manual doesn't say and I wanted to check before i buy one. Thanks in advance!
@@oliversmith5325 Oh yes, amp block is not required. If you are only going to use it for effects you might be interested in the Zoom MS-50G+ (should have all the amps and effects of the G2 FOUR, if not more) or the Zoom MS-70CDR+ (time based effects only).
Received the G2x Four last night, so this vid is perfect timing

Seems like a nice improvement over the G1 Four!
I think Zoom's new IR layering sounds killer. G2 Four sounds as good as any modeler I have heard.

Thanks! You would like a similar video to this with sound samples but using the USB for the audio?

@@Billy-ck2ld Okie dokie, I’ll give a try and see how it works for me.

Can the firmware be upgraded for more amps and effects like some of the other Zoom multi-effects?
Yes, but only when Zoom releases new firmware for it. There is no guarantee it will have more amps and effects but normally it will.
Even having 1 amp takes up a lot of dsp 😂
There's no Vox Amp?
@@anthonypaderes the UK 30A, I believe is supposed to be based on a Vox AC30
