Keep it coming, Brother! I'm in Virginia. I know what you mean about being where things happened all those years ago. This area is just oozing history too. Have fun and stay cool.
Hey Drake, your channel is one of my new favorites! Can’t wait to see some more episodes. Until I get some decent winter gear for the South Dakota winters I will be watching your videos wishing I was out trekking.
Thank you so much for your support! I'm a bit limited by a lack of winter gear too! Just a couple wool shirts and wool breeches would do it for me, I won't be facing the polar temperatures you get up there!
Hi Drake! Everyone's got to start someplace... and Real Life intrudes regardless of our wishes! Your outfit & gear sure look good. I'm looking forward to seeing future episodes. Congrats on the Subscriptions... the more the merrier!
A belated welcome to Kentucky, hope you enjoyed your time here! I’m a bit further east, in the rugged Appalachian mountains of Pike county. Very near here is where Boone made one of his first forays into Kentucky, at what is now called the Breaks Interstate Park, on our shared border with Virginia. It’s a beautiful place to visit if you ever get the chance.
Hey Drake cool video, be easy to forget which century you are in when you are out like that and walking in our ancestors foot steps, keep up the good work looking forward to more videos
Love ur channel truly wish there were more channels ie ..intrest in the late 18th century..of the small handful I have found most have more intended towards guns shooting..the food of that time ..ect are fine ..and important .for anyone interested in the period ..but I'd like to see move gear reviews of the time and over nighters ..or weekenders ..I'd live to see period river trekks down the ohio..so much forgotten history of the highways of the time that helped shape this country .
My ancestors were at bones borough during the revolution other ancestors from North Carolina settled at Paint Lick Kentucky after receiving revolutionary war land grants

Love the channel. Keep it up, I’d like to see some paper cartridge loading and shooting with that flintlock and maybe see you running a pistol too.
That is definitely on the agenda

Maybe next time I'm out that way I'll get to come out there! It certainly is a beautiful area. Thank you!
Nothing like Kentucky. Spent a lot of time in the Frenchburg area hunting the Boone National Forest.

Absolutely! That's always my goal when I'm in the woods with my 18th century kit and gear.

Our ancestors were practically neighbors!
is your flintlock a pedersoli? looks like a northwest trade.
It's actually a 2nd model brown bess from Veteran Arms that i've modified.
