Eric that brown colour spotted jacket on Hear my train coming acoustic version was good. NME in a 'Died too young ' edition mag 2009 had a pic and said what a player let alone the jacket!.
One of my favourite things about these episodes is all the rare pictures that comes with it. I've heard the entire interview and both takes of ' Lover Man ' from the Johnny Carson show but til this day I haven't seen any video. Any idea if it still exists ? Lastly , I read somewhere that while in Morocco Jim saw a fortune teller and the ' death ' card came up for him which really freaked him out as by all accounts he already seemed to know he wouldn't live to a ripe old age. Amazing episode and series.
I'm catching up on the last few episodes. As ever, this is brilliant. It's great to have Billy Cox back in the mix at this point. Thank you, as always, Belly Button Window.
Pretty cool.Did not know Bill Lordan jammed with Jimi.Lordon of course played drums with Robin trower and James Dewar on a lot of Trowers albums.Great drummer
An interesting time for Jimi. My question is, did Noel quit or was he fired? Clearly Jeffrey would have liked the original Experience to continue but Jimi had other ideas. Excellent program!😃😃
I've started turning up a few days late because I enjoy reading the comments. Often find some interesting extra details from people who were there at the time.
Leslie Aday was wrong...Hendrix never owned a RED corvette...at that time, his Vette was painted a silver, metal-flake hue...later on, he had it painted it a dark green-verified by his friend, Jeff Beck. It is possible, that Buddy Miles owned a RED corvette during this time. Hendrix only owned two Corvettes, crashing the first one, and then bought the 2nd one--that he eventually repainted, twice.
Not long till Woodstock festival ,one of my favourite bands from my generation The strokes from NYC (was much bigger in UK especially at 1st ) well lead singer Julian Casablancas said in a interview a few ys ago that Hendrix wasn't that big and didn't have a lot of hits so the interviewer had to remind him -"no he headlined Woodstock ".maybe Jules was joking.
@@ttacking_you Albert junior the strokes fender mostly rhythum guitarist for the strokes his dad was a musician probably him who jammed . Jules dad was a successful business modal agent talent boss and julians mum once was miss America in the 60s
Deering looks hilarious. And i like the stories about Jimi being a perfect gentleman more than the ones about him punching chicks. I've been doing the gentleman thing myself calling girls i know "ma'am" they REALLY REALLY seem to love that. Everyone should try it?
Hey mate, forgot to mention, that in 1995 I played with Jimi's cousin Ricky Hendrix at Buddy Guy's club called Legends in chicago. There is a Jimi Hendrix tribute every year in november. I met Buddy Miles & Billy Cox that night, I will never forget It. I even have a pic of myself in the dressing room with Buddy Miles. Let me know if you would like to see it. This vid reminded me of it, Thanks again bro!!!!!!!
Lol Steve probably does like Hendrix though? He claims to be a trotskyist. Makes sense because you have to destroy the old state to implement communism
Jimi was always had the coolest wardrobe, i mean he always had the style like nobody else. J.H.E. forever 🤟

That info came from Colette Mimram, who had hung out with Hendrix in Morocco.
Thank you very much! See next episode for 'fortune teller', I seem to recall that much of Carson's shows recorded in 60s & 70s were destroyed? Cheers!
The Johnny Carson show back then would tape over past episodes. Sadly Jimi's episode was erased.
@@tomh1593 Hard to believe they would do something like that just to save a few pennies.
