The nice thing about this tool is it’s nice small & compact for cleaning up branches and fitting in between tight areas to make cuts. It’s not meant to fell trees and it’s not designed for that task. I’m excited to trim some of my hedges and trees with this unit.
That little chain saw sure looks a lot more pleasant to use than the reciprocating saw. Thanks for posting your review. I want one for the exact purpose you mentioned -- firewood for small campfires. The Silky Saw just gets tiresome after cutting a few branches. 🙂
Yeah I use the recipicating saw but sometimes my left hand is what is holding the branch and the kickback one handed can be annoying. So yeah think I'm gonna pick one of these up.
A must-have for any unkept Jeep Trail. No oil leaks with the scabbard on but a case would be most cool indeed. And it does not beat you up like a larger and heavier Recip saw whose blades can NOT be easily sharpened but is only a 3 min task on the full house Milwaukee hatchet chair. Nice review mate.
Thanks for this comparison. You also have to take into account when you're cutting branches it's not as stable as that piece locked in your vice. What your cutting vibrates back and forth (especially with the hacksaw) like crazy. It would make the chainsaw even more of a good buy.
Broski that EGO is badass!! I recently got into the EGO brand and can say they make quality outdoor tools..Love my XP self propelled mower!! I was thinking of getting that chainsaw u showed from EGO but I need a pruning tool around the house and that Milwaukee is a candidate..thanx for the review👍🏼
2 things I think I noticed... the width of the chain v recip pruning blade, the other would be the depth or location of the branch of which you're trying to cut. If you're trying to just prune something and not cut down a 3", which the chainsaw will do, that pruning blade would still be a choice... I did like how fast it cut though
The other downside of this pruner is the difficulty removing the battery.. I was unable to do it with the display model in the store. Otherwise this is exactly what I am looking for.
Grab yourself an ego 18 inch chainsaw and milwaukee ain't touching it, don't get me wrong, I love milwaukee tools, and I'm even getting this little pruning saw as it looks handy as can be. But egos biggest chainsaw will run laps around milwaukee's already fantastic offering.

I would love it if it was an 8-10” bar. That 6 is kinda limiting on a construction job
Tribe of Reality, it’s a 12 volt tool... LOL! Anyway, I’ve seen it take down 12” trunks/branches. The Milwaukee M18 Fuel chain saw is very nice, with a 16” bar. That’s some pretty hard, seasoned wood he’s using to test the Hatchet on.
Funny how gun shots sound like nothing on video but that thing sounded like a Hyena on fire. I know they're not overly loud. I really want one. Thanks for the Video.
A pruning saw is what i came to see in action. How does it cut small brush. Does it snag is it dangerous to use. I guess i will move on.because it's being used as a chain saw. Not for pruning.
I have seen the demonstration of this little mower and I like it. But can you tell me what the price is? I am speaking from Spain, I hope that my request is understood. Thank you.
Apples to oranges. Mini chainsaw requires more maintenance and will leak bar oil all over. Also, using both tools on a 4" dry seasoned log is not what they are designed for.

Wow! That Diablo blade, it’s like a poor man’s chainsaw...Thanks for posting!
When compared to a reciprocating saw, the hatched does better when it comes to thin branch where as the saw would just bounce around.

yeah! its a little badass. I use it often for chopping cardboard up one handed into the recycle bin.
@Skyhawk Apodaca Why are you sending this to everyone? It's unrelated info.
Thanks for posting
If you think that Ego chain saw is impressive you should check out the Milwaukee chain saw, it will run laps around that Ego.. Great review thx.
No doubt, I bought the Ego long before Milwaukee released their chain saw. I really want one but not able to justify it 🙁

yeah it'll chop up a 1 foot diameter trunk no problem.
Keyboard Warrior, very impressive!
Construction job 😂
John Argumaniz you have a problem? Yes using the tool in a construction application.

How is the saw with one handed operation?

If you wanna go by what milawakee says it’s an m12 hatchet
I have seen the demonstration of this little mower and I like it. But can you tell me what the price is?

179.99$ USD
Every tool is made for different type of job
That is the key and a great assessment of this tool and every other one
Very nice video. What are you drinking by the way?

electric chain saws are wonderful, you can have in the truck or car with no gas smell

The chain look too big for it size
I still prefer Stihl MS120c with slimmer chains.
Great home defense tool 😂😅
Love that idea!
Let’s cut another one...😉
