i have been binging egg hatching videos after watching the first one. Its been really cool to look at the breeding and the hatching seeing the colours of the snakes and how they stick their heads out of the eggs. Its made me fall in love with snakes
Are you guys planning to do a 'nursery' section of the zoo where people can see hatchlings? Edit: I mean like a hatch cam, not in a way that could potentially disrupt the babies!
I really sincerely love how you not only just say you clean them up and redo there cages but also show that you do so! It shows people that it’s important to actually be responsible instead of just saying it ♥️
When the hognoses hatch, you can name them after the theme! Summer is a great name, as is Sol, or other bright or beachy names for the summer egg. Pretty much any flower works for spring with feminine, masculine and unisex sounding names galore! Winter is already a great name but so is any number of cold themed names. And for the Fall egg, tree names like Maple, Ceader, Aspen, ect. have a great autumnal feel!
I think with the Blue Beauties having such a large and beautiful looking clutch despite you not meaning to breed them, you should breed them next year! I wonder how sassy they will be as babies oh my gosh 😂
A surprise clutch is actually a good thing. It means you guys are doing everything right and the snakes are happy. This is especially true for Blue Beauties, which I've heard can be notoriously difficult to breed.
When you get to the bottom of the bag, add some water inside the bag to help reduce dry dust getting in the air. Just put some in and pre mix in the bag, then pour it out in a bowl.
It feels like the blue beauties were trying to prank you: "Hey, I have an idea." "Ok, what is it?" "Wouldn't it be funny if *whisper whisper whisper*" "Ooooh, they'll never expect it! Perfect!" Haha, I like the idea of your blue beauties being sneaky Pranksters. Maybe that would also make for a good naming scheme. Except I can't think of any good prankster duo atm... Maybe Bonnie and Clyde? Tom and Jenny (instead of Jerry)?

I entirely agree here, math is for learning critical thinking, logical reasoning, and problem solving :D - daughter of a math professor and going into math stuff myself lmao no bias
The irony being I'm absolutely garbage at math but am extremely logical in thinking and reasoning. I learnt it from science, science naturally makes a lot of sense to me. My physics teacher explained that math class was as if you were learning english from reading the dictionary whereas science class is like if you learned english from watching movies, reading books, and doing applicable assignments with context. Math gives me zero context so there's nothing to logic whereas science has much more context that you can use to work on your reasoning skills. I'm dyslexic and for some reason numbers just do not work in my mind, they have no meaning in my head and I can't make the connections others seem to be able to whereas in science it all fits together and makes sense to me. I was in 'stupid math' which is what students in my school called it. We had three levels -1, -2, and -3. -3 was the math I was in and was basically 'you're too stupid to actually understand math so we have to really slow it down and spoon feed it to you'. -2 was average math and -1 was like 'you're going to be a mathmatician, university entry' kind of math. But I also did -1 chemistry and -1 physics and my average never dropped below a 95% in those classes and I took those level chem and physics classes from grade 10-12. So I did 10-1 chem, 20-1 chem, and 30-1 chem then 10-1 physics, 20-1 physics, and 30-1 physics. My math classes were 10-3 math, 20-3 math, and 30-3 math. I still need to use a calculator for basically any math I do though because mentally my math is limited to basic addition and subtraction
@@mrandrews3616 your teacher's an idiot tbh. I barely need math in my day to day and what I need is basic subtraction and addition. Also if you have a phone you always have a calculator. I'm a baker, you'd think I'd need math more than the average person, lol nope!

Rat snakes in the US. If you think to yourself "how'd that get there?" It's a rat snake. If you haven't see what rat snakes can do, it's pretty amazing how they climb up walls.
Totally agree. Had a baby rat snake somehow get into one of my mice tanks. It was just all curled up in the tank with a very full belly and pissed off at everything. Held onto him till I was able to find a safe place to relocate him.
I had a rat snake give me a lovely hello as he climbed out of my parents closet an onto the popcorn walls. My dad later caught him barehanded and the little guy musked all over his arm.
Tip the water into the bag of perlite before emptying it, you'll inhale less dust ;P If you don't want to use the entire bag, use a scoop - if you have to tip the bag out, empty outside so the dust can disperse (and not slowly coat all your stuff in perlite dust) while wearing a mask. Also, a reptile breeder I know in the UK lightly mists a paper towel and places it over the top of eggs that seem a little sunken in to rehydrate them, would that be of any help? I was just at the facility today! It was awesome! It was so great meeting Emily! (Ed was busy getting a delivery) Emily if you see this, I was the one with the banana pastel ball python named Pretzel!! I loved meeting you!
You are so lucky! One of my coworkers got a chance to go there. I can’t wait to go myself!
@@battlebear437 Haha I’m actually from the East Coast and was headed that way on a cross country trip with my family and we are all big fans and of course had to visit! It was so awesome meeting her! She’s just as nice in person as she is on camera!
@@kenna_c that’s what my coworker said, too!
@@kenna_c that’s also what I love about this channel…they’re very humble. Plus, their upload are so interesting, informative, and enjoyable to watch

What ever happened to Stripie’s and Hanna’s clutch? I’ve been patiently waiting because Bull snakes are my favorites! They should be babies by now? Did you forget about doing a video on them??😢

“Haha I’ll always have my phone to use the calculator” and then your phone dies and you can’t even get the date lmaaooooo
I can’t wait for the hatching videos to start. My kid is constantly asking for “Emily and baby snakes!”
I’m SO excited for the baby hatching videos to all come In!
They still say you won’t have a calculator at all times, that or you’ll use all of it in your daily lives
I'm excited to see what these babies are like, they're gonna be a little spicy I think
Everyone watching is like those eggs are small until we saw the snake it came out of
I can't wait to see how salty these babies are going to be.
Thanks to the people who liked this
You could mix the pearlite with water in the bag once you get to the bottom so it wont be too dusty, alternatively you can just spritz water before/immediately after pouring them into a bowl so it will stop the dust from rising until you’re ready to mix with water.
It's going to be so hard to wait for them to hatch.
I've never clicked anything faster in my entire lifetime
Ya
Same

same mate
Yes, I also love your picture thing
"That's long division" draws a square root sign.
It's an old time division sign, honest.

@@Bildgesmythe if it didn’t have the little check mark in the beginning I would agree with you, but it really does look like the square root symbol

Right before she was going to mark the eggs with seasons, I was thinking they could do seasons and they did!
I love how excited Ed was about the egg surprise.
I LOVE IT WHEN THEY ARE SASSY so adorable BOOP DA SNOOT
The shape of the clutch reminds me of that triangle staircase optical illusion!
Is it just me or does the momma snake look proud? Before seeing this channel I had no idea reptiles could be so expressive.
She should be proud.
I’m shocked! I cannot believe you blue beauties had babies! Congrats! :D
When using the last of the perlite, pour a little water in the bag and mix it in there, keeps a lot of the dust in!
15:48 I believe Emily is wearing a eeveeloution shirt, and if she is, I absolutely adore it. Eevee and the eeveeloutions are my favorite Pokémon.
Same :] whose your favorite
Same!!! And Nine Tails and Vaporeon. But they're all so precious.
@what the honk I can’t decide, if I had to pick only 2 or 3, I’d probably say umbreon, flareon, vaporeon. But I think they’re all cute!
@@KiwiBird- I like unbreon, espeon, and leafeon
