You are lucky you grow them in trees ! Unfortunately, Uk climate doesn’t allow us to do so , although I would love it . Perhaps I will be brave enough to hang some an a driftwood 😂 . And as everyone said , we’ll appreciate your updates of this project, which I’m sure will be a gorgeous show !
For sure , we will do shorts on this too as the seasons change to show how they are growing 👌💯 maybe you could make a driftwood tree and have several orchids attached lol but perhaps the other half would not approve of bolting drift wood pieces into the shape of a tree on one of the lounge walls 🤣
What I have found works very well for me (Mediterranean coast in Spain) is to pre-establish my divisions, keikis, or young plants by zip-tying them onto those green nylon pads used for scrubbing kitchen pots. I then hang the pads and grow them on for a season until the new roots have come out the back of the pad, after which I staple them into position on the trees. No shock involved to the orchid, and it establishes super fast.
Thanks for sharing! That is an amazing way of doing it 😍 that never occured to me to use those but it makes so much sense . Thanks , I will try some like that for sure 🫂😁👌
You are so amazing and hilarious. These videos are giving me more confidence to inherit the hundreds of #orchids from mum. Bingeing on your videos is now making it fun and even exciting to look after orchids! Thankyou. 👏🏻🌱♥️💕
😍 thank you so much , it sounds like you are about to be thrown in the deep end but you will come out stronger in the end . Orchids are fun and so so rewarding ,, Happy growing 😘
My favorite orchid channel thus far, my winter temp. can go below -3degrees c and summer temps up to 40 deg. C , will my orchids survive these temps mounted on trees. I’m new to orchid growing, so this year my babies are overwintering indoors, please advise
ouch , - 3 degrees means frost and most will be damaged , so if you use movable mounts on the trees in the shade of the trees with adequite watering they should be happy in summer and in winter you can move them in . If your trees are evergreen you can check the temps under them sometimes it will not go below freezing and then a lot of others will grow too .
I will do very very little watering it may just be the Coelogyne that I will give a sprinkle to occasionally the rest will benefit from a winter rest . The Dendrobiums must not get winter water or I will not get flowers .
I guess the success of this type of mounting orchids on tree trunk/branches at a height, which are not easily approachable may depend on the climatic conditions you live. In my type of tropical climate, where we receive rainfall only during the three or four months of monsoon, orchids on tree top without watering may not survive. If one can set up an auto drip watering system on tree top for these mounted orchids, watering and fertilizing can easily be taken care of😃
There are some of the dendrobiums which are adapted for this kind of environment , so also choosing the ones that will suit your environment is also important . But if you are able to set up a drip system like that you wont be limited lol . 😁👌💕
I am sure he is not that happy about it but a lot of people pierce their ears to make them selves more beautiful . He will heal when we pull the nails and will have a group of friends to live happily ever after with . 🫂💕
I would love to see this tree after a year.
I will be sure to keep you updated on the growth , thanks for your participation in this we really appreciate it 🫂💕
This is my favorite type of Christmas tree lol
this goes without saying 😁

Dangerous job.❤❤❤
what we do for our orchids lol

Lucky, lucky you! Please do a follow up video on these. Wow!🤩 😊❤🪴
for sure I will .. I am looking forward to see how much growth takes place this spring 😍
I'm really looking forward to an update video for these. 😁
Where I live, there can be lots of snow, but I can have some cattleyas in a hanging basket?
Thanks we will definitely do one . Using hanging baskets is great so you can bring them back indoors when the weather starts to turn cold . 👍💯
could you do a video on how to mount an oncidium orchid on a wooden mount. And how to care for it e.g. watering and fertilizing.
for sure we can do something like that for you 👌💯

That tree is going to look spectacular. How often will you water them?
I will do very very little watering it may just be the Coelogyne that I will give a sprinkle to occasionally the rest will benefit from a winter rest . The Dendrobiums must not get winter water or I will not get flowers .
I need more trees to plant orchids on😂
never too late to plant a tree lol
Do you fertilize or water those orchids? or let them flourish alone.
they will mostly be left to fend for themselves an occasional organic feed and the Coelogyne may get a bit of water if it starts to dry .

Orchids just do better on trees. there's no need to baby them❤❤❤
you are 100% right 💕🫂
What does that tree think of all those nails in its body?
I am sure he is not that happy about it but a lot of people pierce their ears to make them selves more beautiful . He will heal when we pull the nails and will have a group of friends to live happily ever after with . 🫂💕
