Amazes me how much people sleep on the GSXS750--- the price is unbeatable for what you get: a sport naked that can hang with any of the others and coming with the indestructible legendary 2000s 750 gixxer engine, incredible handling and just an all around real riders bike. I feel like real riders with real skill appreciate what this machine is--- an objectively more balanced bike than say the mt09 which is an excessive wheelie machine and better handling than the z900. Both of those are great bikes too of course, then getting into KTM and so on-- 790/890 Duke amazing but you're not going to have Suzuki little to no extra maintenance with those so it's all relative. For a real riders bike Suzuki nailed the GSXS.
Great review! Im also a pride owner of GSX-S750 and I must says it is a lively and fun thing I love to ride! It has the good looks and it is a reliable machine at a honest price ! Greetings from Spain !
@@tat2wheelz nice ! 20k The z900 is actually a really good looking bike! I like it. You gotta drop a video on her! They have the new 50th anniversary one. Or the metallic matte one too!
I've put about 7k miles on my 2015 in the 6 months I've owned it (got it in May with 350 miles on it) and I LOVE IT. Best daily rider motorcycle I've ever owned. Like you, my only real complaints about it are difficulty in finding aftermarket parts and the seat. 2 hours and my ass is sore as hell lol. Otherwise, it rides great, it's sporty, comfy, gets decent mileage if you ain't ripping, the engine is a peach and sounds great!
I thought the seat was horrible as well. It's pricey but I went with the Corbin aftermarket seat and it was incredibly worth it. I can go hours without even noticing my rear anymore.
I just bought my 2020 gsxs 750z a week ago and OMG just loving it thanks for the video of 10,000 OMG big milestone for long term im setting at 300 working on break in...
Just went over 11k in my 18 gixxis. I love it too. I feel ya on the seat... literally. I got a corbin about 6 mths ago. Best motorcycle purchase I've made. My hands wear out way before I get saddle soar now. Great vid.
Great review. You mentioned replacing the stock turn signals. I recommend the TST Industries BL6 LED pod turn signals. They’re low profile, but very bright. They make a clear and a smoke option. I installed them on my 2020 Suzuki SV650 and my 2020 Suzuki DRZ400SM. They look great. TST Industries makes signal plug converters for Suzuki motorcycles that enables plug and play. If you don’t see your make and model bike in their selection menu, I’d contact TST and ask about mounting options because they make mounting adapter kits for the signals.
I love the looks of this bike and that GSX S750 sound. This will probably be my next bike. I honestly don't know why there are not as popular as they are. It's the same up here in Canada. Good job on the video.
Yea I'm wondering why it is not more popular here in the States but it has gained some steam lately. Hopefully videos like mine help push them into bigger sales numbers. Thanks so much!
This bike is getting low ratings by motorcycle reviews compared to it’s competitors z900, Mt09. Thanks to them I am getting one with a huge discount, brand new 2020 for price of Sv 650.
Have mine for almost five months, 8k on it, my first bike, stock is very very uncomfortable, seat is number one, low handlebar then no wind protection. I added Air Hawk seat , give me an hour extra riding , added 1.5’’ risers, without it , I would have sold the bike , also added the Puig touring windshield plus a clip on to reduce the wind and noise on my chest and helmet when riding at speed of 100km or higher. Now it is kind of sport touring but much cheaper.
thank you for the review! I purchased my 2 weeks ago 9300 OTD, have 361 odo trying to add miles.. I love it the inline 4 with a shorty exhaust sounds Awsome! Did yiu follow the brake in recommendation? love your videos!🙂
Yes as soon as I bought it she was ready for the break in oil change. I have had the valves adjusted once and it wasn't much and next is a complete brake fluid flush. Thank you for the support
Nice review! I had mine ‘20 750z abs for 6 months, 6,8k miles. I definitely love the bike, up in the mountains and on the commute. Always riding with my wife and bike handles amazing in the corners. Great confidence builder but I also practice a lot on empty lots! I would like to upgrade to a bigger bike thus my highway commute to work is about 30min and the bike feels like she is screaming lol wish it had a longer final gear ratio. I think this bike is perfect, upgrade brakes and tires if you ride spirited up in the mountains and you are set!
Agree not much to complain about on this bike. The gap behind the seat is a bit annoying. And the helmet lock is retarded. I think that’s about it. Engine is fantastic. Looks sweet. Price is right.
Greetings from Manchester, England. Great review. Just pondering whether to get the gsx s750, gsx s1000 or Kawasaki z900 as my next bike... decisions, decisions....
Thanks. I rode one of these with 16km on the clock a very noisey exhaust and small bar ends. Hated the mirrors and love the bike. Hey interested in the screen. Ok at 100 kph (62mph) but the wind got under my helmet at 130 kph (80mph) and I did not like it much. Thoughts??
I have rode my bike with and without the screen and the with is much better for wind resistance and noise for sure. I just hate how most look on the bike
I agree, the seat is terrible haha. I'm not sure if I should buy the Suzuki custom one since it'll be the same material, just different design. Let's just say, it gets sore where you don't want it to, after a couple of hours.
Which tires did you get? I agree with all of what you said especially about the seat. Man that shit a unbearable after an hour or two. Has me wishing I got the 1000 instead; it was more comfortable. It was only my second bike tho so I was a little nervous. In retrospect I wish I did. I’m actually sending my seat in the mail to the Luimoto guys in Vancouver BC this winter to get them to hook it up with that gel business. Read nothing but good reviews. Pretty pumped to get that done. I’m in Canada, just put 10,500 km’s on it since I bought it new in May. Love it. Just not the seat lol.
I saw someone complaining about how the bike was “screaming” on their commute to work, due to the gearing ratios? Just wanted to know your thoughts on highway speeds 70-80 mph, have you noticed or do you think it “screams”? Switching bikes rn because of gearing ratio on my current bike so don’t want deal with it on a new bike
I bought a tire changer & balancer and it paid for itself with the first tire change. If you’re going to be putting miles on your bike, it’s probably the best purchase you can make.
I always switch out to sport touring tires on my bikes. Unless you're carving switchbacks in the mountains or go to the track, they grip just as well and last longer.
Funny but true I ride so much I never get sore people always talk about it I can ride all day long dirt bikes sport bikes it doesn't matter put a 6 by 2 down and I'll be cool:-) LOL
Tires are the most expensive cost on this bike of course and the 10k service is a big one but after that it is about average in maintenance costs. This bike has had zero issues so it is very reliable.
Or instead of getting a car for your first car get a motorcycle instead like I did and only drive cars when it's 100% necessary if not I'm riding my bike and because of that I never get sore.... I would get sore sitting in a car :-) though
