I didn’t care much for the acoustic concerts. But loved the guys usual gig. You almost felt like you were part of the band with you air guitar and head banging to some great boogie rock Thanks Francis. rip Rick & Alan 🙏
It seems judicious to me that ALL your interviews, with Quo, be subtitled in French. I "miss" a lot, because of that. We don't all speak English! I am French and a fan of the group, since 1977
Francis got matchstick men riff from Jim Hendrix song Hey Joe,,bar one chord,,,if you listen to Jim,s Hey Joe,,,the its the same as matchstick men ,,apart from one chord from the end,,he actually wrote Matchstick men to getaway from his then wife and mother-in-law in his own toilet in 1969 Smart cookie boy Dougie W.Australia
You could tell that they weren’t very close by then. Enjoyed the interview until they started singing…..that’s NOT Status Quo! Even Rick said he didn’t really enjoy the acoustic stuff.
They seem alright here. Rossis stated the only reason they did the acoustic stuff was so that Rick could keep performing... Hence they're plugged in live shows were wrapping up in 2016, obviously Rick died and Francis carried on.
Good interview...Aled Jones with some different questions..good stuff
Miss you Rick.
Love the album, got it on cd as well as on my phone too

It wasn't actually Jimi's song though, Billy Roberts wrote the song, or at least the modern version of it, about 1962.
Rick's playing it in C 😅
Yep, the band are doing it in G.. & Rick's playing in the original-recording's key of C
Parfit and Rossi arn´t status quo....there are 3 other members as well...and they all together are status quo..

@@1alsturgeon and Francis made it clear a few times that there was no love lost when Rick died
I could never see the point of the acoustic set, not one song sounds better than the original. Canny management keeping the brand going.

@@sahhull he has also stated he's not really been bothered by ricks death
