Harley knows how hot these bikes run. It should have been installed at the factory. The fact there is a plug-in for it and the system already set up for it says it all.
I recently purchased a 2020 king and wow the heat it puts off is intense. Thanks for the video - I will start with this fan and move on from there. I agree it should of been installed at the factory.
A good mechanic doesn’t need high detail info to install I think he wasn’t going for a tutorial on how to install as much it was to show you how easy it was for him.

Cooling fan If I install this, do I need to run the computer program?
needs to be flashed tuned, some tuners like the power vision can do it or the dealership

The fan still has to be flashed at the dealer so the bike knows when to kick in.
Does it require a tune as well or just flashed? Can you still run any tuner with this bike?

Yes, he was going to charge $60, took it back to tech and 10 minutes later it was done, the service writer said no charge 👍🏼
Should have had a fan on there to start with. Doesn't do much good sitting in traffic with no airflow

It’s probably around 200 something but they do have to be flashed at a dealer are someone with HD scanner

Oil temp around 210* on a 90* ride after getting off freeway, the fan works more often while in traffic.
