I grew up Sailing, crabbing and shrimping on Galveston Bay, Great Thin water sailboat.

During the 2010 Texas 200 sailing event a SFB Pelican was very impressive. They do have similar hull shape including the plumb bow.

Hapscut is port mansfield area in laguna madre...not galveston bay
