Just think about the next generation and generations to come thereafter, their kids are going to be fully American Muslims and immersed with one another, playing together, praying together, building beautiful families together, doing businesses together, and it will be not even a second thought to them. It would be so normal and hopefully, they could also see any enemies from millions of miles away wanting to cause friction and try to sow disunity. ❤ 🙏☝🏻
Somalis first arrived over 100 years ago... My relative passport is from 100 years ago .. however post 1960s till 1991 most studied there and after 91 many migrated there after civil war .
Salaam Bukharee! InshaAllah, when you come to Dallas, you can come by and pray isha (8 PM) with us at our mosque in Garland, at 5906 Duck Creek Dr, Apartment 14. We are one of the oldest masalahs around. Two apartments converted into a masjid and have been going for 35 years. Almost the entire apartment complex is muslim/desi. Alhamdolilah!
Ws, thank you brother for your kind invitation. The season was already filmed few months ago. But InshaAllah next time I visit, I will definitely come over.
Yes. As a Somali American living in Arlington, Texas, there is a big Somali community in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex area and Alhamdullilahi most of us attend all the Masajids that is growing very fast every year. Alhamdullilahi for the blessings we always receive from the Merciful Allah.
Ft Hood TX has a Majid. Islamic community of greater Killeen. I'm a veteran and the masjid was founded by veterans and military alongside local businesses! Ma shaa Allaah!
Love those roads. Every year we make a trip from East to West on I-40. I drink about 10 cups of coffee before I even hit Winslow, Arizona from The Carolinas! My cars got miles from I-40! Will stop on Somali joint on this summer's trip!
I had never met any Somalis until they started moving over here to Laredo and Nuevo Laredo. We love them. A lady hired my mom to clean and help cook. They treat her really well.
Interesting. My dad and his friends actually went to Texas in the 1960s for education. So that's 60 years! Some even stayed there. But I think most students went back to help somalia

I love Texas!!! Best masjids in the country!! When you get a chance stop by the North Austin Muslim Community Center. Beautiful masjid!! What I love about Texas is that they build the building for the masjids, because how much space there is out there. In other states people buy buildings and renovate it. In Texas they buy the land and then build the masjid, which means they can have the building facing the qiblah. Nothing more beautiful than seeing the masjid rug being parallel with the wall.
MashaAllah brother, great comment. God bless Texas and the Muslimeen. You are absolutely right. I tried to get in touch with them but couldn’t. InshaAllah next time.
