I am seeing more and more young people dive into the tiny house life. The idea of having a mortgage for 30 years is not as big of a priority for more and more people. I myself never plan on buying a home unless I use it for renting as a mobile income. I love this busses design and I hope you do as well!

Really nice woodwork. Nice skoolie. As a retired babyboomer, I am happy to hear your generation is not buying into the "American dream." There were many of in my generation that also did not want to live that dream but, knew of no other alternative. Now in retirement, I realize how much of my life was for establishing the American dream and very little for living. Considering this lifestyle. Fits a retirement budget.

Downsize to a smaller vehicle? This conversion is by far one of the BEST I've ever seen. The kitchen literally looks like it came out of a regular home - incredible. The front dash build is as professional as can be. All of it is incredible - the bump out of the shower ceiling always makes sense. Yes, your bus may be too large to park in certain parks, but as you get older you'll want the room you have now. I mean, washer/dryer, bunk beds, huge refrigerator, and again a kitchen that should be the standard for any build. Amazing home.

I’m living for the gaming PC in the bus lol. I feel like a lot of these people make it seem like all they do is travel and hike so it’s nice to see other interests incorporated into the bus. Also I really like their pretty clean and modern style :)

I would rent a car to get around town before I would give up this bus that you renovated so beautifully and intelligently ....
If you do downsize you are going to have to SACRAFICE for less while your bus is designed for more !!

I agree, rent a car or tow a car. You have a lot of space so don’t let it go.
Depending on how often a vehicle is needed, it might be more cost effective to haul a vehicle! It'd be very difficult for me to downsize from such a fantastic build with plenty of room for this family of four (yes, I'm obviously including the furr-kiddos as mine are more family than my actual family!!!) I'm guessing someone got the itch for building skoolies, etc.. I think this lovely couple could make a living by converting vans, box trucks, school buses, etc., etc... But that exquisitely detailed, gorgeous woodwork though!!! WOW!!!
Gosh, yes! This is wonderful little home! You can build a van camper as an extra or just use bicycles to get into city-centre. Also, many of the schoolies goes into remote places. This is a super beautiful home for a long time!
I was thinking get a jeep, and tow it behind. They are built to get you through mountains and such.
I hope you don’t downsize too soon. After all of your hard work you need to sit back and enjoy the fruits of your labor. You did a most excellent job! Enjoy! 😎✌🏻🤙🏻🤘🏻😎
You have the right mind set. How about if you keep the bus and just get yourselves a tow vehicle. I have been traveling like you, but I found that having a tow vehicle gives you another option. Your home plus transportation into the smaller locations that you want to visit. Good luck and have fun

We have a 38' Holiday Rambler Deisel Pusher, we tow a 2002 Jeep Wrangler Sport. We have been all over the west coast and into Canada. The beauty of is I can set up and go to all the places that I want to see. The reason I chose the Jeep is it light weight and all I have to do is put the transfer case in neutral, if you want more info regarding the towing, I can add more
@@shannonelhartcounselor9582 to be honest I am not sure about the towing of prius. The jeep can be towed on al fours, the prius might need a tow trailer because of it bring an all wheel or front wheel drive, which is why I decided on the 4x4 jeep.

Of all the buses that I‘ve seen on this channel, this bus has the prettiest entry, it’s not just boring and no storage is welcoming and so smart also this dog is soooo adorable

Very impressive! I love it! The hideaway cat facilities are awesome! The fact you have a washing machine for your clothes is rare so that is fantastic! The different textures and wood mix is brilliant! The puppy is so darling! What more could you want? It’s Perfect!

The so-called "American Dream" is more like a nightmare. Living simply is so underrated. Nice to see young people who get this and aren't buying into the lie! Good wishes to this young couple. Some really nice features, and so sweet to be greeted at the door by the cutest pooch!

This is such a beautiful home and a lovely couple! Not to mention the adorable dog and cat! I love the puppy pool outside. I can't imagine giving this up for a van, but understand the reason. Hope you enjoy this home a bit before moving on. Happy traveling and thanks for sharing your lovely home!
This is definitely one of the prettiest and hugest buses I‘ve every seen! I don’t think it‘s bigger then other ones but the space is just really smart used so that the guest beds are not just little holes, no they‘re actually beds which I think is so cool! And also that it has a door and isn’t just open

loved it.. only thing i would do different is where the guest beds are put my closet there and washing machine so its not in the bedroom.
Exactly, imagine the closet space. And all extra space in the bedroom. I don't think we'd entertain more than 2 people at a time.
This is literally my dream 🤩 I was thinking a gaming area, decent sized kitchen with a fridge and a stove, a bathroom with a shower and a laundry room was just not gonna happen when it came to living on wheels. But this really proved me wrong and I absolutely love it!

Either I’ve already seen this bus on another channel, or someone else has that kitty litter setup. Ok I was having such a huge sense of deja vu. Ok. After being convinced most of this video that this was same bus different people than the previous video I had seen on their channel. I now realize these are the same people. Lol.
Still one of my favorite bus layouts ! Also love the changes they’ve made with things like the bedroom door. I can’t believe they are thinking of parting with this magnificent home. It’s so absolutely stunning.

@Zayalla Fantasy glad you got the joke xD i never have people over to my apartment. I literally have one chair, and the rest of the floorspace is dominated by plants and bookshelves

Don't be in a hurry to buy into "The Script" as in job, house endless debt, etc. It was written by those who lacked the imagination to do what you are doing. Your craftsmanship is superb by the way.

What a beautiful build! I loved hearing your story and why you decided to downsize and live in a school bus. We lived in a school bus for 2 years in 1971-72. We traveled across the country from San Francisco to Tennessee, where we started homesteading--and our first baby was born right in the bus! Best wishes for you and your adventures--you are doing a wonderful thing.
Nice bus. We worked our way up from a 27' to a 40' RV, then down to 25' and then up to a 29' which is perfect!!!.
With the 40' RV we drove for miles to find a place to turn around at if we got into a city by accident towing our car.
But your bus is beautiful... Keep it till it no longer works for you.
As seniors age 78 & 73 a Sprinter van is the last size I would go down to. You really loose a lot of comfort and often necessities like a shower and toilet. I am not ready for the Sprinter van yet. 🤗
Loved this schooling. Perfect for me and my 4 legged babies. Just adore the cat place . You guys had so many great fitures to this bus. It makes want to sale my house and live life to the fullest.

The best skoolie reno I have seen, so well designed and thought out. As a retired interior architectural designer , I am fasintated by people's take on their renos! Looks easy to live in.

That cat area is so cool. How do you keep your cat from running off when you're on the road?
Some pets will just do this on their own, stay near by. Other's you just train them to do so. If your pet have it's own bad behaviors and you can't control them. Either because of the nature of the pet or not good at training the pet to do things it should be doing to be a good behaving pet. I say cat would be the hardest to control. I guess a clicker or some sound to train a cat to stay near the sound that you made.
We have two rescue cats and they are both indoor cats and they absolutely will not run off...(thank goodness!!!)
Depends of the cat for sure. If the cat has a habit of disappearing for adventures before moving to the schoolie...well, that is a disaster waiting to happen.
I saw a video where van people found very friendly ginger cat from a stop place in the middle of nowhere. They cave him a lift to a nearest cat-shelter. Very sad for the owners.
If I would ever be a rv traveler, And had pets..I'd make sure every pet had a tracker ID tag to put on their collar. Hook it up to be on internet and you can see the general area they are in very close. I think they are under from $20-150(avg). They go all the way in range and costs.

Gorgeous build! Nothing I would have done differently. Have you ever thought of towing a jeep? We park our R.V. and take our jeep and explore all of the places our R.V. will not go. Just a thought. Happy trails!

Nice build. Living in one of these would be great for a while, to save money, do some traveling but eventually a nice house is tough to beat especially when starting a family. This video is almost 2 years old, I hope they have been doing some traveling since then. Thanks for sharing.

WASHER AND DRYER--- oh this bus is amazing. This bus has everything in it. I really, really enjoyed how y'all maximized the space. I also love the flexibility of the bus. It's extremely comfortable and a better option if you want an RV for less. Thanks for sharing.

Very nice build! I hope this couple sticks with the schoolie. I think they will be dissatisfied with a Sprinter. The high repair cost and maintenance is why I wouldn't recommend a Sprinter Van. I think they would be in a much better situation buying a Promaster or a Transit if they are determined to do van life and want max space in a van.

This has got to be one of the most impressive refurbished buses I've seen. Everything so well thought out, and organized for optimum space, and comfort! Really fine workmanship on that bedroom door too!

Smaller buses aren't the worst idea if you know how to fix one up and have the room and means to do so because after years of driving kids around, they are usually beat the hell up and are pretty cheap. Plus there's a lot of customization there and there's no warranty that you have to worry about. Voiding
I am going to get a van. I am gen z as well but i dont want fo live in the van i want to use it to travel. Since my sister wants to live 15 hours away from me im gonna use the van to go and not stop since you can switch drivers and rest

Thanks for sharing your design! It is absolutely my favorite. You could always tow a small car, or motorbikes to see the places where your bus doesn't go. I've had 2 camping vans and I think a bus is more ideal to stay in long term. So you don't have to constantly move your stuff around (which wastes time) to get to things you need...and I am pretty minimalistic. Thanks Again!!! 💖
