*Only 10% of those who write the exams are serious about studying* and they spend major part of the day for around 10 hours to cover the syllabus and revise them. It is mainly an exam where you need to memorize and retain the information. NCERT texts are a great starter and certain texts for subjects are enough to carry through your exam . But one has to sit down and study. Period. This is the case for all exams. Just like how seats are limited to get into IIT , seats are limited in UPSC. Hats off to those who can pass through these exams, because exam taking is an ART in itself.
