    When you get near and at Port - are you able to keep temperature high enough to run SCR? It is my understanding that SCRs and EGRs don't operate when ship is going too slow.

    • @marinerealtalk8683
      @marinerealtalk8683  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hello Kengat, for the SCR, it has a temp setting where in it will auto start or auto stop dependeng on the type of SCR wether it is for HSFO or LSMGO. While for EGR, at certain engine load, it will auto stop and auto start. You can check it in the technical file of your vessel to be precise

      Hello Chief Alfonso, ikaw pa yakang yaka mo yan🙂 saglit lang kabisado mo na din ang operation. Actually tulad din ng EGCS dati, parang mahirap sa una pero after few operations, gamay na din🙂

    What u do when SOx react with ammonia and deposited on catalytic surface that lower the conversion rate?

    • @marinerealtalk8683
      @marinerealtalk8683  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello Kush, actually the system has a soot blow. This is to clean the catalyst to keep it in a good condition. Aside from the cleaning or maintenance interval as per manual. One reason why the SCR is running at a certain exhaust gas temp is also because of your concern. It therefore, proper operation should be observed and followed.

      May I know that operating temperature and how this soot blow works sir, its interesting knowledge I am getting...

    • @marinerealtalk8683
      @marinerealtalk8683  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello Kush, sorry for the late reply.
      If the SCR is designed for Low Sulfur, min required temp should be 280 - 310 deg C while for high sulfur should be about 300-350 deg C. Moreover, the SVR has Standby Heat System maintaining the temp in the reactor higher than the dew point. As required prior starting the SCR.
