I wish to play this for my dad on Aug, his birthday. I wonder if 7 months of practice would be enough; I'm a beginner. Anyway, thanks so much for the video. I'm just having some difficulty trying to add in the bass and the hammering.
just work on getting the chord sequence flowing by strumming - and singing - you've got a lovely voice. I'm sure your dad will love it if you simply strum and sing the song for him - oh, and post a video of it - 'cos I sure would like to hear it :-)

Hi - hope this helps: In my video I originally played G on the 2nd line of the verse - it should be a Bm chord. Just try strumming through the tune and singing or humming the melody to yourself to get the timing of the chord changes. this is a very famous song,most of Vietnamese have been heard it since they were young. i loved it in orchestras. it's so romantic,funny.
