- How to make your OWN tarantula Island! Save some Nook Miles!
I had a lot of friends tell me about this Island trick to make a lot of money. It's basically the New Horizons equivalent to New Leafs Tropical Beatles.
Tarantulas are worth 8k Bells so if you are short on Bells, definitely give this a try!
Just a note of discovery:
Certain islands may not be the "best" for this trick. Last night I was on one with a lot of waterfalls and lakes, so fish kept spawning. I have a hunch that that may have reduced the spawn rate of the spiders. (Just a guess, though, not actually sure just yet.) Tarantulas still spawned but at a much slower rate. Just something to keep in mind! I'll keep testing it out as well and let you know if I find anything new!

I’ve been dealing with them tarantulas since 2013 and I still get scared now.
Yeah they definitely are spooky, along with scorpions.
I watched the whole thing so I'm no longer in trouble.

Do you play on pc or switch because I’d like to start a TH-cam channel about my animal crossing but I can’t record on switch
Animal Crossing is only playable on the Switch. I use a capture card from my switch Dock to my computer and record using OBS! (OBS is free to use!)

I keep getting mole crickets that are taking up the spawn, what do you do when that happens? Dig them up?
I've had that happen a few times. Sometimes I just ignore them and hide in the corner hoping for a respawn. Particularly because trying to find the right spot to dig them up takes longer for me than it does to reset by hiding out of frame.

Do butterflies interfere with the tarantula spawning?
Yes! Typically any bugs that spawn will interfere with the spawning of tarantulas.
Butterflies spawn before 7pm, and tarantulas spawn after then, so if you went to the island before then there will only be butterflies and "daytime" bugs even if the clock passes.
I went to the island at 6:50 and after 7pm I was only getting butterflies. :O

@@Kuriie Yeah it works still. Apparently not all islands can spawn insects though. RIP.
@@R4D1O Oof. I've heard that too. I think the ones with a lot of cliffs have given people trouble. The swirly island does work for tarantulas though!
