After watching so many BassTheWorld videos featuring Frank, it was fun and fascinating to get a glimpse of you two unscripted. As a bassist who plays at home only, you provide boatloads of inspiration. And let's not forget you're both making the effort to do this interview in a second language. Respect and thank you! I'd love to grab a beer or four with you two and be able to let loose in German.
Frank, you are an inspiration! I started playing bass at the age of 67 - I'm nearly 70 now - and watching you having fun and giving it the trademarked "Frank Itt" bassface reassures me that my pleasure in the bass can only get richer. Thank you too, Gregor, for the interview.
Loved the interview. Do more of those, please. And Gregor, let’s have something similar about you 🙂. Loved your channel and appreciate your work. Keep it up!!
Thanks so much for the chat guys, it’s always great to hear from awesomeness of da Frank. Keep um commin please????? Thanks for sharing guys Paul 14.58 gmt Uk cheers
Ich bin so froh die The Touch Platte mit einem damals unbekannten Terence Trent d‘Arby ergattert zu haben. Franks Basslines haben mich damals umgehauen. Ist aber leider auf keinem mir bekannten Streamingdienst vertreten.
I remember wanting the BBG5a, but couldn't afford it, so I got the passive BBG5. I've used it regularly ever since 1997. It's a wreck, and everything has rusted, but it still plays and sounds great. :)
After hearing Frank's story about the Yamaha BB5GS, I picked one up for a nice price. Very nice-playing instrument. And he was right in a comment from another video where he said that there was a split coil pickup under the soapbar covers. It's actually a reverse-P pickup with the D and G under the coil nearer the neck and the B, E, and A under the coil nearer the bridge. Confirmed this by tapping a screwdriver since I didn't have an airport x-ray machine. Interesting...
He seems lovely and it was interesting to find out more about him, but in a way it’s sort of ruined his mystery now. Before, he was just this enigmatic figure who existed purely to pump out fat grooves when summoned out of the ether
Frank!!! My hero; legendary Yamaha BBG5S mega "bass face" bassman! Mannheim, I am nearby, would it be rude to ask for a Jam sometime?! My BBG5S I have had since I was about 10 or 11. I have fitted my with some artisan pickups from Jerry Sentell in Sacramento.
Brother Frank Your A Amazing Bass Player My Friend I've Been Playing Bass Over 53 Year's 👍 Love ❤ To Have A Jam Session With You And Show You How Amazing I Play And Slap & Pluck 😆 Ha Ha Ha My Fretless 😆 Keep On Jamming 🎸 My Brother Darryl Bass Thumper King ( Baltimore Md ) USA
Hey Gregor and Frank, what does a bass player who thinks he is good do in germany, i really want to persue this as a carrier, andim clueless on where to go, i live in baden wurtemberg near heidelberg
Father and son united for bass guitar
It only takes a few bars of Frank's playing to realize that the man is an absolute master.

Terrific to know more about this tremendous musician. Thanks for this interview.
I think Frank is great. I love his playing. The depth of knowledge and experience is fantastic.
As well as excellent tone, Frank has the best bass-face.
He's like the bass version of Gary Moore when it comes to making that face.
My bass face scares drummers!

I thought this was going to be the fatherhood reveal video 😜
Seriously, though, it’s great to hear a bit about Frank. Superb musician.
Great meeting you, Frank.
This man can take magic out of any bass even the cheapest one.

Wojtek Pilichowski covers Frank Itt's "Profilaxe" quite often.

Does being a big guy and the bass faces, adds to the playing or adds any advantages for playing bass? On stage or in studios?
Much nicer than his bass face suggests.
What do you mean “like everybody I have a studio and produce”? Can you expand on that?
Frank owns a recording studio where he produced all kinds of artists and works with his students
He speaks!
Frank "the Face" Itt
I need a Frank Itt bass lesson
Great interview, Frank do you have a view on th BB3000 basses of the 80's ?

Hi Frank, which bass would you recommend from the current Yamaha lineup? And why?
Ein wahnsinnig guter Basser. Ich kenne keinen besseren, bzw. Bässeren 😂
That bass at the end was cool are those rubber strings?
FRANK IS COOL

MORE FRANK!
Distorted Face Frank the lead BassTheWorld basist!
Hat frank nicht mit Marcus Deml gespielt 🧐🤔
How many years of practice do we need to develop the perfect "Bass-Face" ?
You either have it or you don't. Just like you can't fake the funk.
