WAY back in the 70's a school friend went up to your valley to work on a potato farm. His stories of the big green Steiger tractors and large scale of farming intrigued me for years, so last year I took my 67 year old self up from Tennessee to there to work the wheat harvest. The scale of the farming is amazing. Love seeing that area again in your videos. BTW, I was there when Hugo's flooded last year .. I'm ready to drive a beet truck next season just give me the word !
Very few beans grown here in Scotland 🇬🇧. Some field or broad beans but none of the beans you mention. So as always interesting to see something different. Thanks for the video. 😊
Hello, do you have any pods or plants left in the ground that the head does not lift? In Mexico it is still cut, rows are made and later it is harvested. greetings.
Hey how's it going, just wondering do you roll your bean ground after planting/ here in Michigan it's common practice with both dry beans and soys pushes the rocks down and makes it much easier to keep the head down tight to the ground. thanks for the great video. Al
When you were talking about dipsticks,.....were you talking about Biden, Harris, and Walz?!?! (Ha!Ha!) Glad harvest has been going good for you. Say Hi to Jenny and Oliver!!!
Maybe the red ones are different, but don’t you have to put new knives on the opposite side of where you replaced the broken one so the chopper rotor stays balanced?

We use a harrow/packer after seeding soybeans. Some people use a roller. We do neither on edibles as the stand can be negatively effected more.
michigan retired farmer ,first crop rented 56 acres i grew navy beans had 1800 cwt sold for 40. 1986 only crop i made a good return on.
❤
How do those concaves work with pintos? We run slotted concaves on ours and then switch to the large wire for soybean and corn
Large wire perform well in pintos. We use our slotted for sunflowers only. May be different depending on growing regions and the crop though.
Please use eye protection when working on any equipment Mitch! Which of your crops is the least stressful on your equipment? Which is worst? Thanks!
Haha, I wear eye protection when I need too. Probably more than many.
👍👌❤️🇨🇦
How far do you have to haul your pinto beans or do you bin then haul out later
We haul them In, it’s usually within 5-20 miles

Yes, exactly! I did do that, didn’t film it.
