The first time I heard this song, I got goosebumps all over my body. And now, whenever I'm walking around Solstheim, and this comes on, I hum along. ^^
Solstheim is my favourite place in all TES lore because of vast wilderness (if you remember it from the Bloodmoon), but now...im so sad to see it like that it was beautiful once ^^. As always Soule makes awesome soundtrack's and i hope we will see more of his work in the future.
This song was playing just as I was finishing up a book, "The Seed" from that Strident Squall wreck. You folks should read it too while this song is playing. There are copies in the Bardscolledge in Solitude, on Seeker remains, and in the upper level of Castle Volkihar.
MORROWIND T.T MY HOME, HOW I SO MISS YOU NOW. i will rise again, like the phoenix as I was once the reincarnation of nerevar, In elder scrolls online, I will return to you.... to vvardenfell, and meet lord vivec... ah, "Skyrim is my brand new toy, Oblivion is my trusty playground, but Morrowind... Morrowind will forever be my home..."
I had to wait a long time for the PS3 version of the DLC to come out but as soon as I walked out into Solsteim and heard this song I knew the wait had been worth it.
Miraak had all the power in the world, it was his fate, he wanted to be in control of his own existence again. Clavicus vile once questioned the dragonborn when he requested power, he said "Power? But you're the dragonborn! what could one such as you want any more power for? you already have all the power in the world!" No, no.....Miraak just wanted his legacy back, he wanted to retake the reins of his fate from the old daedric scribe lord and prove his will to all.
I hope we can visit the Imperial City in the next DLC, similar to the tribunal DLC for Morrowind where you can visit Mournhold :) And I would love to visit Hammerfell, or at least parts of it, to learn about the Alik'r :D
When I listen to this, and see miraak, I feel bad for killing him. Honestly, despite his arrogance, I feel as though he could have had a change of heart. But I will push on, knowing that deep down, he'd want me to carry on his legacy. RIP Miraak :'(
You resolved the Civil War and brought balance to Skyrim and the Empire. You defeated Alduin and postponed the destruction of the world, but for how many years? You are not unsure. You thwarted the plans of a vampire who wanted to blot out the sun and became best friends with his daughter. You fought a man who called himself the First Dragonborn and gained a blessing that allows you to twist wills and transform yourself into the Dragon Aspect. But time is running out. The Elves will wage war against the Empire to restore the immortality that was stolen from them. The Second Great War is at hand. The Empire holds all the human kingdoms, but... It feels as if a thousand years of hatred will finally come to an end and Nirn will be destroyed. A destruction is coming that even the Godkiller, the Last Dragonborn, cannot prevent. And until then, all you can do is gather strength, live your life and hone yourself for the inevitable.
some of the people that find the black books end up reading them and get caught in apocrypha and stay in there for so long they become seekers... yep...
+Darkrai Wouldn't call it music, it's more of a dark ambient. I might go and try to look it up for you! I'm not entirely sure wheter if it's a DLC track or not.
I would want to see morrowinds destruction. That is a pretty cool piece of history that you only get to read about. Vivec disappears, and the moon falls crushing the city vivec. Argonians invade and instead of helping, the imperials all leave making house Hlaalu look stupid and the wither away. House redoran creates a large dunmer army and fights off the argonians, while house telvanni refuses to help and just watches. The red mountain explodes... pretty amazing stuff!
Oh I don't know...the whole series is so vast and epic, not to mention a big part of many peoples lives. There's no way I'd support the production of a series or film(s). To have them cut out so many things that made these games what they are would ultimately kill and alienate the fan base. I'm opposed to any game being turned into a movie.
In my opinion they should rather make a series instead of a movie. Skyrim is all about exploration and there is such an immense density of characters and stories and places. A movie would only suffice to tell the main plot. Someone only needs to raise enough money for a project like this. And I guess that´s a tankship full of money simply to create all the Special Effects.
I must be the only one actually and always putting the music on mute when playing Elder Scrolls. Not because I think it's bad, but its so melancholic and I dont like sad tones, verry sensitive to it. Only in Dungeons, I put it on because I love the Dungeon music. It doesent really fit what Im doing: Looting Giants for their big toe's, popping out eyes off of Sabre Cat''s in the wild because I need em for my evil potions. I mean, Im just saying...
Yeah Alduin would of destroyed him, just as Alduin would of destroyed the nord hero`s if that wizard didn`t have the Elder Scroll, Alduin would of won Dragonrend or no Dragonrend. Miraak would of been like all the others before him, another fool unable to stand up to the World Eater.
This song is absolutely beautifukl, loved hearing it when i was wandering Solstheim
Joseph Mayerchak lmao
I was not far away from starting to cry....such a masterpiece omg!
It's been so long since I played skyrim and this DLC. So many memories :(
There is something sad with the new soundtracks of dragonborn DLC. You knew it would be the last :(

this song rapresent what old players of tes have in the heart
Oh My..... this is heartbreaking marvellous! magnificent! Cry a bit :'(
By far the best soundtrack of the dlc
Jeremy Soule must have leveled up after finishing skyrim's base soundtrack. Dawngaurd and Dragonborn have fucking incredible OSTs.
This song was playing just as I was finishing up a book, "The Seed" from that Strident Squall wreck. You folks should read it too while this song is playing. There are copies in the Bardscolledge in Solitude, on Seeker remains, and in the upper level of Castle Volkihar.

I totally think the same.
Christ, that's why I just spent the last 20 minutes looking for this song! I thought it sounded like something from Lord of the Rings.
Favorite song :)
I miss my friends in the House of Telvanni. Neloth always getting me to go look for black books. 😭😭🤧🤧😊😊
I had to wait a long time for the PS3 version of the DLC to come out but as soon as I walked out into Solsteim and heard this song I knew the wait had been worth it.
Fantastic music that perfectly fits when sad things happens in our DG story.
This sounds like something straight from LoTR soundtrack. That's why I love this so much!
Mirrak just had a lust for power is all :(
Reminds me of the theme from the BBC TV version The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.
I want this to play on my funeral
This is simply amazing.
SO sad...SO epic...
Love it
When i close my eyes while hearing this song... I see Raven Rock, Red Mountain, and Teldryn's helmet behind me...!
Beautiful.
Miraak had all the power in the world, it was his fate, he wanted to be in control of his own existence again.

Love this song. It reminds me of Narnia.
The old school narnia * have you seen it? Pretty funny stuff.
I play this when I'm on Solstheim in the orginal Morrowind. Can't beat it, man.
Yeah I've also been getting a lord of the rings vibe from this. My favourite track from the dlc for sure, it's got so much.
I hope we can visit the Imperial City in the next DLC, similar to the tribunal DLC for Morrowind where you can visit Mournhold :)

sounds like one of these songs during sam's speech
At 0:24 I swear I could hear Frodo say "Oh Sam..." :)

I like to listen to this when I feel down iys because of nalstaga and because I'm a nerd of elder scrolls lore.
It makes me miss mjoll in skyrim~
I hope we're heading south to Elsweyr and Valenwood.
Love it !
It's so Very-VERY COOL music!
It's funny because when I first heard this, I immediately thought of Lord Of The Rings too! Best song in the entire game!
where's the creepy music that plays in the house you can buy in Raven Rock?
+Darkrai Wouldn't call it music, it's more of a dark ambient. I might go and try to look it up for you! I'm not entirely sure wheter if it's a DLC track or not.
This reminds me of Cast Away.
The 1 dislike must be Miraak's.
Yes, it is.

I feel like I could achieve CHIM by listening to this.
Pretty amazing. :D
finally found it
rainymood ..you're welcome :)
Fans of The elder scrolls needs a movie of Skyrim !!!!!!
this music would fit perfect in lord of the rings or the hobbit! this sounds so nice! :D
wait there were ghosts inside apocrypha?
oh god, I found it!!!! yes!!!1
I know how you feel.
All these songs and not the best one from the whole game? Severin Manor, wake up..
My message it is voted down ?

I got the mask after killing him but when I fought miraak at the end he wasn't wearing it dafuq ?
thumbs up if you hate it when miraak stole the dragon soul after you slay it
Is this also by Jeremy Soule?
Why is this voted down?
sounds liek fear not the night arrangement
You are right, a serie is much better.
"the song is better than any of the original morrowind osts" "the songs from the original game we all quite dull".... can you not see my confusion?
I must be the only one actually and always putting the music on mute when playing Elder Scrolls.

It doesent really fit what Im doing: Looting Giants for their big toe's, popping out eyes off of Sabre Cat''s in the wild because I need em for my evil potions.

+Miriam.Ben Guess the tune is meant to encourage you to explore Solstheim. :P
Yeah Alduin would of destroyed him, just as Alduin would of destroyed the nord hero`s if that wizard didn`t have the Elder Scroll, Alduin would of won Dragonrend or no Dragonrend. Miraak would of been like all the others before him, another fool unable to stand up to the World Eater.
eh, I felt indifferent towards Miraak. He was simply a servant who messed up serving that daedra. I hated that thing... so ugly.
the original morrowind soundtrack dull?!?!?!?!?!?! i agree that this track is good... but don't diss morrowind
I disagree.
Sounds really bland and unoriginal compared to the original Morrowind OST.
