So sick, this is exactly the type of content I want, new ways to play. Particularly stoked on Bladesong!! I’d love to have every 5E subclass, as well as artificer, I’ll certainly settle for these but keep em coming Larian ❤
I can finally roleplay Shadowheart as a Dark (Justiciar) Cleric. Even tho Death is not Shar's domain, it seems it will be way more playable than Trickery Domain.
Crazy, I JUST started my first playthrough and I’m 120hrs in, while early into Act 3. I owned the game since Beta Testing, but just never committed to the game after release. But now I’m addicted and you’re telling me more stuff is coming soon 🤣 Playthrough number 2 is going to be WILD
I also bought it early access, didn’t touch it until a patch or two into full release and was completely blown away. It’s a generational game, truly a masterpiece.
@@CylinderHeadE60 A masterpiece! I haven’t been lost in the game like this since Dragon Age Orgins. I play games and never finish them. I either lose interest, or life happens. But Baulders Gate has had me glued to my office chair for weeks now.
Larian is a gift that keeps on giving! 😃 What a delightful people! 😍🥰 Happy Thanksgiving, Sparty! 🦃🍽️ I wish you to spend this day with your family, friends and loved ones! 😊
I was hoping for LevelUncapped and PartySizeUncapped, rolling for ability scores, and better hirelings for Custom Mode. That said, 12 new subclasses is awesome!
Swarmkeeper sounds a little different to 5e. The three choices in 5e are the push one (same as bees here, but no extra dmg), but then instead of the shock or blind there is a flat dmg bump or the ability to move yourself 5ft. This is on one attack per turn, but costs no resource. The later level 'teleport' sounds like it might be replacing the flight (only 10ft speed) option 5e gives you (1 min duration a few times per day). It sounds cool and the 3rd level feature might be buffed from 5e. Excited to see it because the visuals should be fun.
Bladesinger is one of my absolute favorite subclasses in 5e, next to Swashbuckler. Besides the expected Extra Attack, at later levels Bladesingers can sacrifice spell slots to reduce incoming damage, and add their intelligence modifier to melee weapon attacks Edit: I just remembered that BG3 caps at level 12, so we’ll likely only see the damage reduction ability
So excited for this, did NOT expect Larian to add anything this big as this stage of the game. And they’ve chosen mostly really great subclasses to use with cool 5e features. Keenest to see: Bladesinger Wizard. A monster in 5e, gonna be gooooood. Surprised but glad: Giant Barbarian. A quite new subclass to 5e, means Larian has access to newer WotC content than I thought. Wish you were here: Rune Knight Fighter. I hope they make the AA better than in 5e, because RK stomps it in tabletop. Also Widfire Druid, but I love Stars too so I can't complain.
Yes cross play FINALLY! Me and my brother already have 3 copies of the game together for our 2 pcs and ps5 and would be great to able to mix and match depending on where we are! Will definitely buy another copy for my Rog Ally so we av 4 man Coop it on the go!!!
I know it might be greedy, but I hope they add new equipment and spells for the subclasses so you can make more builds that have synergy with their mechanics.
I really hope Arcane Archer gets a bigger resource pool than in 5e. There it is 2 uses of the various arrow abilities per short rest. Not each arrow, total. It's a bummer because the arrow effects are cool but you barely use them. It has lead to the subclass being considered quite weak in 5e. Hopefully Larian gives it some love.
Bladesinger is absolute fire in 5e and I'd expect it to be super strong in BG3 as well. Add magic weapons and armor onto a full wizard with basically full martial capabilities? Forget multiclassing, this thing is going to go hard all the way.
I’m fucking itching and shaking with excitement you don’t even get it Stars Druid, swashbuckler, hexblade, arcane archer? Yeah my whole party is going to be multiclassed out the ass 🤣🤣
As much as Drunken Master as a concept is a fan favorite coming from 5e I would rather have had Way of the Astral Self and Githzerai as a playable race. I think it would have fit the campaign a lot better. Drunken Master does have some interesting redirect abilities in 5e so hopefully those translate well into BG3. Arcane Archer is a fun idea for a subclass but it needed some love in 5e but Larian has proven themselves more than capable of fixing something that didn’t work well in 5e and making it a lot of fun to play so I can’t wait to see what they do with it. Hexblade and Bladesinger are what I’m most excited for! Time to go absolutely ham!
Shadow Sorcerer: a cool subclass, not super powerful in 5e, but very thematic. In relation to shadow walk, it's likely to come on later, as it's a 14th level feature in 5e.
Yeah once I’m done playing bg3 I need to play larians other games. I might just buy them just to support them. Since I don’t think I’ll be done with bg3 anytime soon.
Hexblade: curious to see how this plays because the big feature everyone uses it for in 5e (cha based weapon attacks) is already in pact of the blade for all locks. It sounds like they are going to buff up the spectre raising ability from 5e 6th level.
Oathbreaker changes were kinda glossed over and I didn't understand your TLDR of it. Seems like I should maybe pause my early Oathbreaker playthrogh until these additional voice lines/content are added? In relation, do we know if you will have to start anew for these changes? I'm sure other patches confirmed this but I have not been following. Great content btw! Love how you format your videos
Would have loved Wildfire and not stars for druid (it being my favourite subclass in 5e) but on the whole love the additions. Also in terms of the swarm keeper you just have it out and it does one of the 3 things each turn. They clearly intend for you to choose one and have it up at once but it triggers once per your turn (on hit)
So when Larian said they won't be adding DLC, they meant they'll just be adding patches with DLC levels of content. Well played Larian.
Tbh I wish they'd sell me some dlc. It makes me sad this is the last patch/content they plan to add before moving on from the game.
@@grimnar6725 I agree. Us fans would be happy to buy a DLC, but I understand Sven's dedication to not go that way.
I thought they had planned on doing 1 more patch after 8
@@durtyjohn9339 not according to the post they put out. It's the most recent one on steam. Goes into saying after patch 8 they are moving on.
Activision/Blizzard would charge us 79,99$ for that amount of content or release each sub-classes individually for more profit
Larian is a loving mother

There are some incredibly fun builds using Trickery Domain though.
That's the thing! You can combine any god with any domain, it really is up to you! But trickery is a pretty fun domain imo😅
Death is one of Shar’s domains though

The fact we’re getting corpse explosion in BG3 (was an extremely strong skill in DOS2) is exciting
Here I thought they said they were done with it.. Larian Studios keeps on giving!
Larian going on the Terraria Re-Logic arc was not something I thought was gonna happen but I am absolutely loving it.
I was hoping for LevelUncapped and PartySizeUncapped, rolling for ability scores, and better hirelings for Custom Mode.

I love how subclasses are pretty much Prestige classes of older dnd games. Arcane Archer omggg.
You handsome summamabish. You've done it again.

Time sink another 1000 hour with these new subclass Larian know how to make me keep coming back
Well shoot, they threw me for a loop. Here's hoping to them adding more of my favorite subclasses and spells from Tasha's and Xan's.
This is awesome, cant wait for it to come out
Shadow Magic looks nice. I'll need to mod the Hound of Ill Omen into an Australian Shepherd though ;)
I hope you continue with BG3 content when the patch comes out. It would be cool to see some mod coverage.

Ubisoft - “Character DLC - $9.99 per each sub class!”
Larian - “hold my beer”
Wish I had friends to co-op with
BEEESSSS
I kinda wish they would add a few more high level items
Finally drunken master!!!!
