- Summer is now officially in full swing, and with the heat wave still going strong, today's outing with the Falls Road Railroad became a pleasantly surprising two-for-one deal! After being gone for many years, running operations in and around Scranton PA, Depew Lancaster & Western Railroad Alco RS11 #1804 finally made its return to Lockport, NY recently as CSX local L035 delivered Thursday night! After quickly being put in the shop by the crew of LB-1, and thinking that seeing 1804 was the main event for the day, I stuck around to watch the crew work the team tracks in Lockport Yard before, to my surprise, Delaware-Lackawanna RS32 #2002 was fired up and placed on point to lead its first eastbound trip to Brockport!

Love watching these old alcos in action! Man are they powerful!
Nice work Matty, this RR takes a lot of pride in their engines, the paint on all of them is sharp! Thanks for the drone shots of the team tracks, cool operation. 🇺🇸
cool catch with the 2035 opening the radiator shutters also keep bringing us the wonders of the falls road and it's gorgeous Alcos great work!
What's interesting is that 2002 and 2035 have different turbochargers. So while they are essentially the same locomotive, they have quite a different sound.
Very nice video, guess I won't see the 211 in Red anymore down here in Northeast Pennsylvania. Oops, I mean 2002.
Nice lash up of smooth running diesel power.
Nice !
#2002 ahh a new horn in the air
Hi, that was another good watch, thank you. I noticed the 3-off Bulk-carrier, Tanker-Trailers arranged on the Team-track Pad.
Is there ever a chance your Drone could take a turn around the Engine-house and catch a view of any Fueling/Sanding facilities there, please?
There are no fueling or sanding facilities.
I always guessed that those trailers were used to unload flour/grain to be trucked to bakeries.

That Alco sure knows how to turn diesel fuel into sweet music
