I did a tbow rebuild in 2020/21. Zulrah was fairly good gp/h then so i sat at the boss with god dhides for like 800-1000kc doing stuff like chambers inbetween. Then I did a tbow + scythe rebuild at tob which I would HIGHLY recommend to anyone that enjoys the raid. Having a tbow & scythe combo is actually very big for tob as it allows you to efficiently raid and do mage role properly. Heavy recommend

These days i almost always recommend a tbow rebuild just because it's the most versatile, unless you're specifically a tob or toa fiend
Started a scythe rebuild a week or so ago after getting my infernal cape, and it's been so much more fun doing ToB with my friends now. Actually doing melee Xarpus and Verzik P2 after just whipping/blowpiping is so much more engaging, on top of actually contributing a more meaningful amount to the run. I even got into hardmode and got spooned the sanguine kit for my scythe, so it's been great so far :D
One big one I forgot to mention is Nex! Tbow rebuild -> Nex with Fang/Zcb down the road is extremely good GP. There's of course other options for funneling gp into gear, such as "rebuilding" info Bofa. Links to raid learning discs in the description + more info. Edit: Colosseum with Scythe is also a legit usecase nowadays, esp post-buff and with the tailored content!
I did a tbow rebuild and did 500 mole. Maxed my void range setup and did some cox/zulrah. Was very clean. Seeing as how you can get away with much cheaper gear than shadow and scythe rebuilds. But when I did mine bow was roughly 1.1b.

Great Video! The only thing I'd disagree with is Magus Ring in the Shadow Rebuild, it's cheaper than a Virtus top and has double the magic damage%. Magus falls off a bit with Voidwaker and a lot with ZCB, neither of which you'll have at the beginning, and if you're doing a TOA Shadow Rebuild you're probably going all in on Magic and maging Zebak, where the extra damage really pays off. I would swap Virtus top for Magus + Ahrim Top in that setup

Shadow rebuild makes the most sense in my opinion. If you had the option between tbow or shadow, then you have an extra 200mil to buy a bowfa setup, no brainer. Tbow is only slightly better than bowfa where shadow is miles ahead of any other mage weapon. Scythe I would potentially even pick up before tbow. With Bowfa being so cheap it just doesn't make any sense to me to buy a tbow first. Besides TOA, whisper is incredible money with the shadow, muspah is also quite good. Just my opinion but tbow rebuild seems a bit outdated now that we have bowfa.

I did the Tbow rebuild back then, bowfa was released a few months after I'd already started, and ToA wasn't out yet either. But if I were to do a rebuild again, would probably choose the Tumekens shadow paired with a bowfa. You can do all 3 raids effectively if you own the fang, bowfa, and Tumekens shadow (with the right gear ofc). Doesn't affect me now though since I've got max gear 😅
Did a shadow rebuild and soloed 2 more shadows, along with some shadow splits. Careful though, the shadow fluctuates in price, also you really want ancestral for its full potential. If i were doing a rebuild these days, I'd go Tbow and learn Nex. More consistent and better GP with the caveat you can't solo it.

I took different approach and when I had enough for a t bow I sold everything for masori and Zaryte crossbow and campted nex till I got my own shadow and t bow
I luckily did my tbow rebuild shortly after muspah released. I was making about 3-4m per hour. I bought my fang back, and hopped into toa. Within a week of toa, i was part of a 3 man shadow split. Then another 3 man shadow split a week later. My tbow rebuild didnt even last a full month

From this list it sounds like Tbow + mole is my default option. Maybe Sarachnis with scythe but idk if I want to grab 80 attack (or the profit rates when using scythe there) lol. Idk about the shadow on mobile. Though it is tempting to buy one, I can’t really utilize ancestral with it.
Always Dragon from the moment you use a tbow until the end of time. Ame at Zulrah is bad/anywhere is bad, just a common misconception about the 50 dmg cap.
@@Holyorder0 tob has a higher skill floor, but its "easier" once you learn it, toa is easy to get into, but higher invo is more mechanically demanding. tob is generally more punishing until ~400 invo at toa, and toa has more tech for normal raids. you can solo toa, not really tob (scales to 3 ppl) but tldr: learn both raids, try all pieces of content, choose for yourself. !learnraids in my twitch chat for useful links to resources (might be in video description?)

I have no clue what the gear at 5:44 on the left is called as far the boots, gloves, ring and arrows slots are called, dont recognize any of it. Biggest advice for anyone doing a rebuild is to only start it if you have enough gear to do a variety of content. It's so easy to burn out if you're dry during a rebuild
im shook that youtubers that can do rebuilds because the extra youtube content makes up for the lack of ingame content, but why its being pushed to the real players as the only way to get them or even worse now, assumed its what anyone and everyone has to do to get them is crazy.. my advice to most people is to not get these weapons by rebuilding at all
It's less useful in teams than solos, and in max-eff raids you wouldn't bring it for teams. At a rebuild stage it's still worthwhile for ~trio teams at vasa and again it's extremely good for solos.
I haven't had to run a rebuild tbh. Every time I think about going forsomething I get lucky and see a flash of drops. Got scythe yesterday when we had a shadow split in a back 5 back purple streak
"the shadow is unfortunately not good at tob" is simply untrue. Shadow is BiS at Sotetseg and during P2 Verzik. It is 2nd BiS after scythe at P3 verzik. Paired with a blowpipe for maiden/xarpus and a Lightbearer/chally for bloat, you can have a very strong ToB setup during your shadow rebuild by wearing max mage and using void for melee/range. Is the Scythe cheaper and better? Yes. Is ToB a viable piece of side content during a shadow rebuild before you can afford a scythe too? Absolutely.
Under the context of a rebuild video, with rebuild gear, it's most certainly true. Shadow on P2 is absolutely trolling and ignores the concept of slot value. No good tobber is making a case for it outside of speedruns, because they understand this.

I primarily pot ToA, but I did a few ToBs with whip/shadow/blowpipe (example video on my channel) for fun and it’s not bad at all. It’s the same concept as potting ToA during a tbow rebuild. It’s not as good, but it’s highly viable. Why would I bank my shadow to run ToB with a fang/whip when I could do more dps prioritizing mage/shadow? In fang tob, you use fang for sote, p2, p3. Shadow is better for all 3. Why not bust out the hat, magus ring, and heart instead of fang/zerker/bandos?
Clearly you haven't used WDR being an endgame player...it was one of the most unpleasant experiences of my runescape career. Much better off joining a low tier pvm clan and trying to learn there amongst friends.
entirely depends on the raid you’re doing and the people who you join. it’s a big server, of course there will be a lot of variance on the types of players you get and skill level. I used wdr to learn tob and it was great. guides were well put together, the teammates I joined were eager to learn and there were also people with lots of kc taking in 1 or 2 newbies into their team to teach them the basics and they were very patient. I never had to do a mentor raid because the resources provided were more than enough
met plenty of good & better than me players in WDR, if youre complaining about raiding with other learners, yeah no shit its going to suck youre all low kc

A rebuild is only bad if you're sacrificing a large portion of gear in other styles. One big emphasis in this video is to keep that minimum gear so you don't do that. These weapons are ~30% increase DPS over 2nd BIS in a lot of cases, and the fun factor of obtaining and using them combined with the increased damage makes rebuilding (while keeping min gear) an extremely fun/effective method. These ideas aren't harmful unless you're picking silly content to pair them with. If someone takes a tbow and runs into tob, ofc they're harming their overall gp gains, but then again I question why they'd do that.
I think when rebuilding it's important to remember that Hisoka's bungie gum has the properties of both rubber and gum

I think something worth noting is that Shadow is actually better than Tbow for regular chambers, making it a particularily attractive option overall.

Nex is a good option for tbow. Can do trio melee nex with tbow and 150-200m in extra gear for very good gp
Nex is the key to the entire game, honestly. Go in karils and a fang, leave in max gear.

Yup bowfa is a good deal right now at 110mil vs 1.5b for the twisted bow
tbow is about 30% more DPS then bowfa,the gap is massive,shadow is a must for high level toa cuz their defense is mental

Less then a single max hit most of the time and at most on raids it's 2 max hit for 7x cost.
i did the tbow rebuild myself when zulrah wasnt bot infested, straight up with just black dhide + rings of recoil

"the shadow is unfortunately not good at tob" is simply untrue. Shadow is BiS at Sotetseg and during P2 Verzik. It is 2nd BiS after scythe at P3 verzik. Paired with a blowpipe for maiden/xarpus and a Lightbearer/chally for bloat, you can have a very strong ToB setup during your shadow rebuild by wearing max mage and using void for melee/range. Is the Scythe cheaper and better? Yes. Is ToB a viable piece of side content during a shadow rebuild before you can afford a scythe too? Absolutely.
Under the context of a rebuild video, with rebuild gear, it's most certainly true.
Shadow on P2 is absolutely trolling and ignores the concept of slot value. No good tobber is making a case for it outside of speedruns, because they understand this.

I primarily pot ToA, but I did a few ToBs with whip/shadow/blowpipe (example video on my channel) for fun and it’s not bad at all. It’s the same concept as potting ToA during a tbow rebuild. It’s not as good, but it’s highly viable. Why would I bank my shadow to run ToB with a fang/whip when I could do more dps prioritizing mage/shadow? In fang tob, you use fang for sote, p2, p3. Shadow is better for all 3. Why not bust out the hat, magus ring, and heart instead of fang/zerker/bandos?
I done a fang rebuild and a bowfa rebuild, the fang i paid 150 million at that time, then jamflex nerf it😅😂😢

Clearly you haven't used WDR being an endgame player...it was one of the most unpleasant experiences of my runescape career. Much better off joining a low tier pvm clan and trying to learn there amongst friends.
entirely depends on the raid you’re doing and the people who you join. it’s a big server, of course there will be a lot of variance on the types of players you get and skill level. I used wdr to learn tob and it was great. guides were well put together, the teammates I joined were eager to learn and there were also people with lots of kc taking in 1 or 2 newbies into their team to teach them the basics and they were very patient. I never had to do a mentor raid because the resources provided were more than enough
met plenty of good & better than me players in WDR, if youre complaining about raiding with other learners, yeah no shit its going to suck youre all low kc

stop letting youtubers change the narrative for people that do not have a youtube channel, one major difference between youtuber and normal player is a normal player should not do a tbow rebuild.. seems like its the only way to do it nowadays but thats because a youtuber can do it and get free content out of it.. most normies are just holding themselves back for ages and ages while they rebuild, much easier to make 1b with the stuff you already have rather than get 1b in gear after selling it all for a singular item
the 3 bis weapons might be bis but they are so overhyped to the point that people ruin whole accounts just to own one
mostly just my opinion here, but a tbow rebuild is a youtuber mentality. dont fall for it
A rebuild is only bad if you're sacrificing a large portion of gear in other styles. One big emphasis in this video is to keep that minimum gear so you don't do that.
These weapons are ~30% increase DPS over 2nd BIS in a lot of cases, and the fun factor of obtaining and using them combined with the increased damage makes rebuilding (while keeping min gear) an extremely fun/effective method. These ideas aren't harmful unless you're picking silly content to pair them with.
If someone takes a tbow and runs into tob, ofc they're harming their overall gp gains, but then again I question why they'd do that.
