It turned into brew chugging simulator and I died after my 7th brew. Was running on 1h of sleep though so I feel more confident today/tomorrow I'll get it
What worked for me is just click center most dust that isn’t adjacent to boss (results in same movement and does not require remembering any tiles). No thinking about which attack just click dust and after mega shield it starts over.
I wanna say the triple stab was explained improperly? You need to be clicking protect melee on the 3rd tick and have it activate on the 4th tick which the damage splat happens, and essentially click to deactivate it on that tick you get hit
I put the ticks for how long the animation is, but during that part I said to turn melee prayer on the tick the boss stabs you, I didn't clarify the whole "click the tick before the action you wanna do cause it takes a tick for the click to register" since I showed the clip over and over again so it makes it clear what the timing is. Was trying to balance not making the guide to wordy by using the visuals to clarify things.
I have 6 kc and just died to something I have never seen before and don't understand. For the triple stab, if you parry too early, does your prayer still stay on requiring you to turn it off yourself, or is it disabled automatically? I swear to god I was manually turning it off myself after failing a parry special, but my prayer was staying activated, which completely threw me off causing me to fail the following parries, since I was expecting my prayer to turn off (since i clicked to disable it after failure myself) but it never did. It flickered back on every time
so confused I was relying on the sound effects to help me out on which attack hes throwing out & when i started the fight the spear/shield attack sounds werent working but everything else was. do sols attack sounds come from 'area sounds' instead of 'sound effects' ??
the most infuriating content ive ever done. cannot get the boss under 1k hp. totally given up. hours and hours of wasted time for a fucking impossible boss fight
hey kirby, just got my quiver today and this sol guide was very helpful to review mechanics and the positioning tips on the spear attack were huge. thanks for all your guides, not just this one bro
Go to the “colosim” simulator, turn everything off except for the parry and right click his hp to set it below 90 percent. He’ll only do the parry attack now and you’ll get the timing down. Then do the same thing, but set his hp to below 50 percent.
@@mageguy3 Yeah it bugs out if you turn protect melee on at the wrong time, so you can’t really turn it on for subsequent parries. It’s still the best way to practice outside of the actual game, and you know that if you get the bug your timing was off anyway. I went from being scared that the parry attack was coming to killing Sol with frailty 3 and doom 3 on with several perfect kills. You got this.
Nah it's 4-3-4, you can count the ticks in the video as I have the visual metronome plugin on. Most people think the first attack is 3 cause it takes a tick for them to realize the attack is happening, and most people think the last one is 5 cause it feels so long when the boss delays it.
Tbh I haven't done too many attempts at the Colosseum and I've gotten so Sol Heredit 3 times so far, the boss fight is pathetic ngl. Its so clumsy and who thought the parrying attacks were a good idea is just dumb. The Colosseum is fun overall, but I hate the final boss fight and there's too much RNG involved in the waves, so not a fan of this content.
@@Jjjbbb5678 Ooops I almost forgot. I killed Sol Heredit once but it was a double death, I ran onto the beam just as I dclaw spec'ed and I thought I had more time so it hit me a 71 and it was a double KO. Couple of attempts later I kiled Sol Heredit, I believe I had like 3 brews b4 boss fight and it went smooth, at the end I wasn't even close to dying. Overall I think compared like Inferno to Colosseum maybe the waves due to the "invocations" are slightly harder at the Colosseum (but they require less time to pass by) and Final boss fight Inferno is more difficult to deal with Triple Jads and then Zuk fight than the Sol Heredit fight. About the Sol Heredit fight for me it got much easier when I figured out the "L" strategy positioning on the spear attacks. On the Sol Heredit opinion I'm kinda neutral now, the waves are much more difficult so you can't easily get to Sol Heredit. And I'd give it a plus that it is indeed a very unique content, although very similar to Inferno.
Anybody can do anything in the game with enough practice. I used to think the same thing. You just gotta get in there and spend many many hours on failures
One thing I do like is because colosseum is much shorter, it’s easier to get into. A new pvmer getting into inferno you’re gonna run 90minutes or more doing the waves alone. With only 12 waves you can get way more practice in much quicker. Too bad a good chunk of the invos say “take your money and leave”
@itchigo3245 Yeah for sure it makes it so much more fun when it doesn't take 2 hours to get back to where you died last run. I've been having way more fun with it than I did inferno as well
Me watching this shit knowing my ass is NOT going in front of Sol for at least the next year: Hmm yes, quite. 4-3-4, roger roger. Seriously great guide Kirby. You're fantastic at explaining, make it look so simple.
But what about the SpongeBob mechanic? I always struggle with it

Why am I watching thks video when I don't even play anymore?

Hell of a week Kirby great job!
Sol heredith spear and shield sound didnt work on my first real boss attempt. Even with game sounds on. Do i need to allow area sounds aswell?
Yes
Lmao it didn't work for the first spear so during fight I changed setting took 105 DMG and never recovered...

You turn prayer on, boss turns prayer off, you attempt to turn prayer off, prayer turns on instead.

should i bring chally for the massive damage boost?
What is that plugin called where the tile beneath u isn't a full square but just the corners filled in?
Plug-in is called corner tile indicators , has a box u can check corners only for current tile, hover tile and destination tile

Great video, just finished and it was ropey but this video clarifies the parry stuff for me 2nd run

I'm still working on the giant mole watching this 🤣
Can we please refer to the boss' equipment as Trident and Shield? That way the attacks are T1/T2 and S1/S2.

the casual triple max with the scythe around 1:10
I'm sure you saw the explanation later in the video, but that's a mechanic where if you parry the grab attack you get a guaranteed max hit.
