I enjoy your videos. However, you're playing a common mistranscription of this piece from the original. The open string alternation that appears after the big D chord in the second section are actually meant to be harmonics. Even John Willians has recorded this incorrectly. Se the authoritative version in the Richard Stover collection for the very beautiful (and more musically sensible) harmonics.
Wow! If there is a version still more beautiful than this, I can't wait to hear it.
Yes, the maestro made a simpler arrangement so it is more accessible to less skilled guitarists. So glad he did!
Why don't you play the harmonics? Is this a different/modified version?

ruubiaah, no haces gala más que de lo que presumes (igorancia), a esto se le llama villancico, por que cumple estructuras musicales que se ven en los cantos populares, es decir llevan un ritmo igual. Un ejemplo de ello es las danzas hungaras de liszt.
