I wish I knew something good and easy available at Excel, but I don't. My apologies.

thanks for sharing .but i have some questions .
    1) what will happen if a person with good knowledge mark some easy questios wrong and difficult one right .
    2) will there be an extra advantage to solve the difficult question.
3)difficulty level of the questions are predefined or calculated on the basis of how much students mark it right.
please answer .i will be very thankful to u.

The student version will be limited to 50 items and 50 students, if my memory does not fail. Maybe this is why you experienced problems.

    nice video!
but, i have a question. if i am going to have an exam with IRT scoring, is it better for me by NOT ANSWERING the question that i am not sure about or NOT ANSWERING WILL BE CALCULATED AS WRONG SO IT'S OKAY FOR ME TO ANSWER ALL THE QUESTIONS?
Please, answer me i am having an exam in three weeks using this IRT system but i am so confused

Nice question, Abi. Sorry for the late reply. The basic assumption of assessment is that examinees will try their best. In IRT, the difficulty of the question has weight in the scores. A mistake on a difficult question will have little impact on your scores, but a mistake on an easy question will have a large negative impact. Likewise, a correct answer on an easy question will not increase your scores as much as a correct answer on a difficult one. So it really depends on the difficulty of the question and your own knowledge level.
