I have made nearly 30kkm on new man tgx 2020 and its just amazing truck, best one in the game and I am a fanboy of volvo and drove fh the whole time (I tested all truck that this game have to offer). But when the man came in...best one out there i hope scs will keep adding nicely done trucks like that one😊
Thank you for another great video. I am currently collecting the Steam achievements for ETS2 which can be great fun and Promods, the best map mod, interferes with that. So for now, no Promods. Players must also take into account that WoT jobs is not compatible with Promods either. For some players it is all about personal preference when it comes to trucks. I think Volvo had evolved very well the last decade but Scania will always be my favourite.
i disagree in terms of promods, but only that it is not mandatory, its definitely highly recommended, but after an update of the game it usually takes ages to get a working copy again. Therefore there are a lot of map mods being available much faster. So i recommend to have a second profile not relying on promods, to be able trucking for the time the matching promods is unavailable.
Not only that, but ProMods is quite performance heavy, especially when driving in cities. Plus me being a nitpicker, it annoys me that not all DLC countries have real companies and gas station. Not hating though, I still think the ProMods team is doing an amazing job!
Promods makes the UK enjoyable for me as the base map is so dated compared to the rest of Europe. Whoever created the Welsh and Scottish roads did a great job!
Biggest reason why the game lags is the scaling option. A 4096pix texture on 400% scale will be a 16k texture. Most GPU can not handle that. This counts for various mods like vegetation, truck or anything else which contains huge 4k or even 2k textures. But most folks do not know this and always complain about lags🙄
another sugesstion, if you have a powerful Nvidia GPU, NPI AA is a must, or flickering lines everywhere always shout at you "you are in the Matrix, it's fake fake fake!"
currently as a second laptop i have a ryzen 5 3500u with vega 8 and in ets 2 i set the res to 900p 100% with graphical settings to the maximum and still i get from 40 to 50 fps avg this game is well optimised
Just as a point, pro mods is not free, you do have to pay for it. On another note, totally agree with your comments about the M A N truck. Yes totally awesome truck. I love mine even better than any scania and volvo.

I am buying new map DLCs during sales, lastly I bought Baltic See, Italy and France for 15€, but Iberia alone was 18€. Tuning packs I buy only sometimes, when it's great or I have some money

to be honest, i don't know how to install promods. i think I need one more base game DLC, the baltic sea one then I can download promods maps such as the middle east, but then from that stage it's so confusing, there's too many files 😂 some files are zipped, some aren't, some files are .scs which is what I want, other files aren't.

I love my Scania, but the MAN TG3 was a joy to drive. I think it's better than the DAF XG+. Design-wise, specifically.

The problem with ProMods apart from the WoT incompatibility is that after each SCS update it takes ages to update the mod.
