Hi...My Mercedes Beanz Gla 2015's tailgate opens to a very low height , i have to manually push it up to a comfortable height...I have tried pressing and holding the button till i hear the single beep at my required height, but it still opens to that low height....Is there any other way to set it back to an appropriate height?
@@utterutility5718 In the mbfaq.es forum I have seen that perhaps the solution is not to try to reset the position when the gate is fully open. What they suggest is that you stop the gate halfway and then try again to leave the button pressed to reset the entire path. Try it and write to me here how it went!

It is likely that the springs they put in the factory are not as efficient as those of now, in this way you make sure to put the most efficient part tested by Mercedes after so many years.
Hello, my trunk will only open with the key remote, or the switch on the trunk. But it won't open/close with the switch by the driver's door , or the red button on the trunk or with the remote. Anything I can do to correct this? Thanks
In those cases I would check the right spring. The gate position sensor is located in this housing. It has the same appearance as a hydraulic spring but its function is completely electrical. It is responsible for telling the opening system the position of the gate at all times. Do a test: put the reduced opening position in the comfort options and check that it works well.

The curvature of the tool that I use allows the fulcrum for leverage to be inside the gap in the spring housing. Just below the pier. Hi mate, I saw your other video. I have a V220d but the thing on my tailgate is not gripping on the locks.. It's why I need to pull the tailgate hard for the rear to open.. What could we possibly replace? 🤔
@@RareCarFindsPH Sorry for taking so long to reply. I think the problem may be the lock. In my case I have already bought 2 in 6 years. The problem with the R320 is that the locking mechanism is made up of bronze gears and nylon gears. As the nylon is softer, its teeth wear out and the parts of the mechanism slide against each other, making the opening and closing of the gate defective.
Don't buy the original Mercedes-Benz lock! Lasts one year. The one from Amazon, Aliexpress, and those types of stores is much cheaper and lasts much longer.
The normal thing is that if the 2 springs are installed at the same time, both have lost force at the same time. So my recommendation is to change both.

The spring loaded one for me won’t fit out the gap to pull it out.
