@@JawTooth Just bought my ticket back to Alaska leaving Sunday. Paid rent to August and I'll stay maybe 6 or 7 weeks. $266 flight from Nashville to Anchorage! Hopping Alaska Railroad again
Joe tooth I love that video you just did. I’ve been in Tampa and rode the train that you’re looking at. It goes right by the Colosseum and down by the river they’re right near the bay where all the boats are for travel cruise lines
With the news and you tube full of pandemics, riots, and political turmoil, nothing like the sounds of trains--very calming. I grew up near a very busy track and would keep my window open at night. I loved the soothing sound of trains. Best way to fall asleep.
My mother's parents retired in Clearwater near Tampa. We stayed with them on two trips in 1967 and 1970. They took us to see busch gardens and other cool places.
Ya' know JT, you have a pretty wife. She must be awesome because she puts up with your going training! Be sure to take her out for a good meal and buy her some flowers!
Say, JT, could you get a close up of the points for that turn out being used @1:30? I sure would like to know how close the points were to that road. Cool video. Thanks.
Seen this crossing on rail fan -never seen a wide view -but know I have -can see the orientation of things ! You should start charging millenium force appearance money -hes always around . Lol Nice view of CSX operations in Tampa -good ole sd40 -still playing its trade ! Nice wildlife interlude too Jawtooth -take care -stay safe! Regards
Thanks Neil! Every time I go to Florida I catch up with Alan and railfan with him. He's the only person I have met who is as big a railfan as me. He can watch trains 24, 7 all the time. lol
Smitty SF-3751 Another GREAT video, I like the water effects on the trolley, looks so real. Glad to see you know a lot of people, gee I wounder why. Keep up the Great work, bet it is not work to you.
Time Stamp: 10:40. What was the liquid or spray, the locomotive emitted from above the fuel tank? Also; Nice scenes of Nature at its finest. As far as what was sprayed from the locomotive; I've witnessed many substances and objects ejected or flushed by both, freight trains and from passenger trains. From shards of metal, nuts and bolts, chunks of ice and the worst ever, raw sewage and toilet tissue; ejected as the Amtrak train passed through the center of town. As the son of Railroader; I learned the hard way, sometimes, to respect and to expect the worst, from a fast moving train. I and a group of friends were caught crossing a bridge over a river, by a very fast moving freight train. All we could do, was lean over the bridge railing, facing away from the train, and hang on for dear life. Had to keep our heads down, looking straight down to the water below, so as not to be struck in the head by a flying rock, kicked up by the train. If you were to be knocked unconscious, you would either fall to possible death, into the river, or, fall backwards to certain death. It happened to me a couple times in my youth and lived to tell about it. It rivals, any ride, at the carnival or theme park. Quite thrilling, yet very scary. Worst thought was if the train would derail on the bridge or if bridge collapsed into flooding river, as I have seen happen. It's a wonder I survived my childhood.
So Circle K IS still around! I thought they were bought out or something. There used to be many here in Austin when I moved here in the very early 90's , Then they all just vanished later in 90's along with all the Phillips 66 & Stop N Go service stations. I never see them anymore, At least where I live. I enjoyed seeing all the swamp animals & turtles! Thanks for sharing! 🙂🤗
@@arthurpenfield2085 Used to be like that here in Austin Tx, NOT anymore. We have Valero, 7 Eleven, & Sunrise mini mart. No more circle k. If there is, They are hidden.
Great Videos. As I have mentioned to you a month ago, I live near the City of Industry, Union Pacific, Subdivision. Its gradually coming alive. However, right now, with Covid 19, we have rioting and looting in Los Angeles and Los Angeles County. Curfews in my County start at 6pm and end at 6am the following evening
I'm so glad you didn't have to put up with MilleniumForce on that wildlife shoot! You would've spent almost the entire time rescuing him from hungry alligators if you had taken him with you! :D
I have almost all of them. One time I saw a train in Virginia that had 3 heritage units leading it through Natural Tunnel. My camera messed up just as the train was coming out of the tunnel. That would have been a great video but oh well. I forgot which ones I haven't seen yet.
That really sucks, but I think itd be really cool to put a montage together of all the heritage units as they pass the camera and switch to the next short clip of another heritage flipping through all of them. Anyways enjoy your summer
When you get back to Ohio, you will have to go to Fostoria, OH where there are still over a 100 trains per day. There is a railroad observation park near the famous "Iron Triangle." It is actually two blocks from where I grew up.
I have been there many times and I will be going there with Millenniumforce in a few weeks. I use to go there before they built the observation park when it was just a junk yard
@@JawTooth I remember the old Pork Packers. Used to give me the creeps when I had to wait on the trains especially at night when the main engine lights swept back and forth. As a kid, I remember getting caught between gates as Columbus Ave. is such a big intersection at the tracks. There were times when we were at the mercy of the "drags." That is what we called the trains going on the wye from the N&W to the B&O. Mostly happened during the night hours but sometimes at day too. I also grew up to the sound of "humping" cars at night in the yard on the B&O. All night long to crashing cars into each other as they built trains in the Blair Yard. Kind of miss those sounds now.

You're gonna have to meet me somewhere or me meet you somewhere and do a video together tell some tales
That would be cool! I could film you telling a story and you could play your harmonica in a video. All kinds of possibilities.

Cool video! Where I live you mostly see class one railroads, and not a lot of switching, but I sure like seeing it.

In the first clip from Plant City, those boxcars really didn't want to go into that sharp curve... and they let everybody know it! Ouch!

Great video! At 6:53 when you were filming the wild I thought for sure you had spotted a Skunk Ape, or sometimes called Sasquatch.
Nice to see you down here in Florida! There is a blue heron that hangs out in my backyard at times. Amazing looking birds they are.

That was air-dryer purging the collected water out of the system. I'm impressed...must be humid down there.
On the second half of the video the railroad cross lights are going out the workers might need to check on that
Hey man, lets see more of that trolley ride.
Was wondering for some time about that spur

Hey jawtooth, here's a recommendation. Do a series of the ns railway and film all the heritage units!!
I have almost all of them. One time I saw a train in Virginia that had 3 heritage units leading it through Natural Tunnel. My camera messed up just as the train was coming out of the tunnel. That would have been a great video but oh well. I forgot which ones I haven't seen yet.

We used to have a monorail system in Tampa, but they tore it down.
Interesting branching into wildlife filming. Seriously scary creatures in Florida, that snake etc. Are there crocodiles or alligators in that area?
Enjoyed watching 👍559
That wooded area sure looks like a good Saquatch habitate.

A couple of turtles glaring at the frogs..."Buuudd...wiiize...errrr".
While riding the Coors trolley.
I would like to come to Plant City and see some trains.

Awesome video.
Hey @JawTooth I never saw your shoutout what video was it on ? Are you on any social media ?
Safety rule of thumb, if you see Spanish moss the climate is warm enough for alligators. And sure enough...
Cool - where is the tram running...?
There is a motorman that operates the trolleys , looks like Patrick Stuart lol . Pretty cool guy lol .( 2018)
mabey a wildlive aligator? lol.

Not as busy as it use to be. Amtrak makes 4 passes a day and there are about a dozen freight trains a day. Some go by at night though
