It took Josh Allen a few years to develop. People were roasting the Bills for wasting the pick his rookie year. Not comparing the two, but it takes time to learn NFL defenses and having the game slow down.
I think we got a shot next season we got 11 draft picks in 25 plus free agency to address the defensive issues we have. Bryce is finally starting to ball and I’m here for it brother.. Keep pounding.
I’m a Panthers fan so last season having to listen to how bad Bryce is and how great CJ is was tough. And I’m not going to lie I was getting tired of it and little jealous. I’m happy that Bryce is playing better but I don’t like how quickly people are saying that CJ isn’t any good. I want both of these quarterbacks to succeed.
also there are many “busts” that end up coming back and playing well, like baker or darnold, i think bryce, or like zach wilson will finally put the final nail in the coffin for not getting rid of a qb too early.
@@keanu1727 Id argue Baker wasn't even a bust. Took Cleveland to their first playoff win in decades. They're just the Browns and they do Browns things.
I mean we have seen it with mahomes and josh Allen. Arguably the best 2 young qb ever lol. They both took time to devolve (in different ways with Pat on the bench for year one and Allen playing out his struggles) and turned into elite players
I mean Bryce has a “good” sample size of four games. Let’s finish the season out first. But as a Panthers fan it would be awesome if Bryce is able to maintain this trajectory.
Bryce just needed timing. With his receivers and with the system,I’ve watch every throw he’s made in the league. It was only a matter of time till he put it all together
He needed someone who could teach him how to play at this level. Canales is that guy. Look at the work he has done with every QB he has been over in his career. Dude knows how to get a QB to take what is given to him and work within the system.
@@FreefallSC& mfs in the beginning of the season try to say dave “aint it” it was never him, once i seen us doing modern plays, and trick plays, i knew dave was legit
@@bloodomen2794 I loved the Canales hire from the beginning. It does help that they have given Bryce better weapons and it finally looks like the Panthers organization is finding stability across the board in the field and in the coaching. When all that comes together and your QB can trust your receivers things start happening
Let’s calm down a little. Besides Adam, he had these receivers at the beginning of his season as well. Bryce was not reading defenses and was overthrowing receivers. All the blame is not on them.
Just wish well for both of these guys careers. Situations are going to be different every single season so just let these boys play. Who knows they both can end up not panning out in the future lol
I’ve watched some videos on the play designs of Dave Canales. They are MUCH simpler than Thomas Browns. I went back to some videos of those same film breakdown channels on 2023 panthers games and I was lost, but when those same channels talked about the Canales system my idiot mind that’s played basketball throughout his youth was able to understand it
I think Canales is going to be good for us. He creates situations and reads for at different levels for both man to man and zone. Primary, secondary and dump offs. Who's gong to be open if you have a blitz. He preaches getting the ball out in 2.7 seconds and helps Bryce know what to do. It's early, but I think we're starting to see the beginning of something special.
Your team[s] almost don't matter: nearly all of us like to see the new QBs grow and prosper. Well done, Kurt. Star on the ball is one more small, good, appreciated tech touch.
Here’s the thing. 🤔 Rookie QB’s are only good, as the team coaching takes them. There has been numerous rookie qb’s that into the league, and joins a team with subpar coaching, and their pro careers are doomed from the start. Some get cut, or benched in their very first year of pro football. Some get traded after only one year on the team. The success of a new qb depends on the offensive scheme, the offensive line, the players around him, and his athleticism. Some of these Head Coaches & Offensive Coaches are recycled coaches that’s been fired not once, but numerous times. Many questions should be asked by the draft pick prior to joining that team, but when that call comes in, it’s all about the money, not the offensive schemes, having a good offensive line to start their pro careers, or joining a decent OC & QB Coach to work with. I believe Bryce will be fine. He’s definitely talented for sure.
There was no “writing” off of Stroud in this video at all. It simply pointed out where he is struggling this year and where Bryce has improved this year.
I ignore this theses guys human everyone don’t play great all the time Hurts, tua,Sam,geno, baker,Russell, etc…and fans don’t make it better give theses young men time
People called him an MVP candidate at the start of the season. He's not lived up to expectations. Also it's ironic for Texans fans to be blaming his slump on the Oline but when Panthers did that for Bryce last season they all said it was excuses
These two shouldn't even be measured against each other. They have completely different styles of play and had been tossed into two very different situations, CJ having competent coaches, good receivers and a decent o-line his first year, while Bryce... well, didn't. However, looking at those sheer numbers, it is clear who has greatly improved and who hasn't. Teyans o-line got worse over the year and it shows, while Bryce has more time in the pocket and thus the opportunity to play as he is used to. Receiving corps is much better, too. That in itself doesn't make CJ worse. However, I'd be remiss if I wouldn't raise an eyebrow at bragging about leading the AFC South - ahead of Jags, Titans and Colts... Honestly, I'd say the current Panthers would beat them, too^^
The defense has been playing great the offense has regressed due to injuries and inconsistency and his numbers have took as step back instead of taking another jump
Considering Bryce has only won 2 games this season as a starter just like last year compared to cj stroud that has 8 wins this year and still can make the playoffs like nah we all know who the better pick was i mean the Texans were just as bad as we was 2 years ago and they get cj stroud and made the playoffs last year with him so it’s pretty clear
Has anyone considered that concussions and hits negatively impact cognitive processing so that Stroud literally doesn't have the mental acuity he started out with?
Essentially, you are talking about being patient. That's not something this league is known for. If QBs are not out the gate good, they're a bust. Who knows where we would be now if Andy Dalton didn't get in that car crash? Panthers had no real timeline for bringing Bryce back. He might have been traded?
