    I’m a Panthers fan so last season having to listen to how bad Bryce is and how great CJ is was tough. And I’m not going to lie I was getting tired of it and little jealous. I’m happy that Bryce is playing better but I don’t like how quickly people are saying that CJ isn’t any good. I want both of these quarterbacks to succeed.

    • @incutool
      @incutool 28 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Agreed. Even a slumping stroud still has a better comp pct, ypa, and TD:int ratio than an improved BY.
      It’s safe to say one has shown franchise qb potential and the other simply hasn’t
      BY should be traded and sat. That way panthers can let their rebuild actual take root, and BY can learn from the sideline. 4-21 is long enough to know he’s not developing enough in live action. In fact it’s messing with his confidence. He already showed he benefits from watching

      @@bloodomen2794 I loved the Canales hire from the beginning. Bringing in a good young OC who has been incredibly successful working with QBs to work with a young struggling QB and build a team made perfect sense to me. Especially with our defensive coordinator being able to run the defense and being a prime head coach candidate as well.
      Gives us a head coach over the offense and defense and you can see that the team is starting to meld under both guys now and put it together as the young guys figure it out. Another great draft next year and Bryce continuing to ball and the NFC South could be ours.

    I always said - once Bryce figured it out and got comfortable - it’s OVER. He is lethal and processes on another level. This is just the tip. Stroud will be fine. Dude has already showed he’s here for it - teams have just watched some tapes and picked up tendencies. He skill set is elite, just teams forcing him into mistakes by switching the looks before snap - this causes him to have to hold the ball just a second longer seeing things he thought was there - and it wasn’t. Practice will clean that up and again, mega talented athlete. These two will be considered the best QB draft class for the next decade that all drafts are judged upon.

I went back to some videos of those same film breakdown channels on 2023 panthers games and I was lost, but when those same channels talked about the Canales system my idiot mind that’s played basketball throughout his youth was able to understand it

    • @MyRideSC-y9f
      @MyRideSC-y9f หลายเดือนก่อน

      I think Canales is going to be good for us. He creates situations and reads for at different levels for both man to man and zone. Primary, secondary and dump offs. Who's gong to be open if you have a blitz. He preaches getting the ball out in 2.7 seconds and helps Bryce know what to do.
      It's early, but I think we're starting to see the beginning of something special.

    Here’s the thing. 🤔 Rookie QB’s are only good, as the team coaching takes them. There has been numerous rookie qb’s that into the league, and joins a team with subpar coaching, and their pro careers are doomed from the start.
    Some get cut, or benched in their very first year of pro football. Some get traded after only one year on the team.
    The success of a new qb depends on the offensive scheme, the offensive line, the players around him, and his athleticism.
    Some of these Head Coaches & Offensive Coaches are recycled coaches that’s been fired not once, but numerous times.
    Many questions should be asked by the draft pick prior to joining that team, but when that call comes in, it’s all about the money, not the offensive schemes, having a good offensive line to start their pro careers, or joining a decent OC & QB Coach to work with.
    I believe Bryce will be fine. He’s definitely talented for sure.

      These two shouldn't even be measured against each other. They have completely different styles of play and had been tossed into two very different situations, CJ having competent coaches, good receivers and a decent o-line his first year, while Bryce... well, didn't. However, looking at those sheer numbers, it is clear who has greatly improved and who hasn't. Teyans o-line got worse over the year and it shows, while Bryce has more time in the pocket and thus the opportunity to play as he is used to. Receiving corps is much better, too. That in itself doesn't make CJ worse.
      However, I'd be remiss if I wouldn't raise an eyebrow at bragging about leading the AFC South - ahead of Jags, Titans and Colts... Honestly, I'd say the current Panthers would beat them, too^^
