  • THANK you so so much!!! Just yesterday crossed the 10K barrier and I am so so happy about it!!!
    As promised I was experimenting a bit more with the "wing pour tool" and see if it works each time or what parameters need to be taken into consideration. This video contains 4 pouring attemps and their results showing you what to do and what to avoid. Have fun creating!!

      MKL GRM Fine Art Yes, mine too!! I think the pours are a great release, and change. ☺️

    • @MKLGRMFineArt
      @MKLGRMFineArt  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Indeed!! You know how long realism takes and tricky it is to get the exact look that you want to achieve and how nerve wrecking it can become...same issues with the pouring but it is soooo much more relaxing and instantly rewarding (if successful).....so it is a real relieve after a long painting day :)

    • @MKLGRMFineArt
      @MKLGRMFineArt  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      pretty easy...glue, hot glue or powerstrips work fine. It onle needs to hold through the first pour and after that the dried acrylic paint will keep everything in place forever :)

    Congratulations Michael! I'm truly happy for you. It's been a pleasure getting to know you and watching all your videos. I'm positive you'll reach your goal of 100k in no time. I couldn't figure out which one of these wing pours I liked best. The blue negative space pour had a different feel to it but I was attracted more to the 3rd pour. I'm trying to imagine a deer head like you mentioned. I guess I'll just have to wait to see what you decide. Have a great weekend and again Congratulations!♡

    I was panicking hoping you left the wings as is . I hope you keep one of each then if you HAVE TO ADD to a canvas make another and know when to stop because the ones i saw are FAB. Ha! So is your accent and that little laugh that you do.. cracks me up. ALSO, thanks for working as you talk. I just wrote a LONG comment regarding that very issue....i have sat for many minutes MANY times just waiting for the artist stirring paint , hunting for a lost video item and the talking and talking about whatever with NO painting plan. You are fast and have a good idea and as you put it ....your brain wired around. Things 😻

      Barbara Bordner awwwww thank you so much for that sweet comment!! Yeah I am with you there. I like to have my videos crisper and edited to the essential stuff than letting it run 30 minutes for just what it is. I still feel I sometimes talk way too much but there is the mute function and the videos are still shorter 😅😅 glad you like the wings. I did a couple of them but there are some other cool results in my „awesome results“ playlist :))

    You are so impressive! Your realistic portraits are amazing! Your pours are always interesting & I admire that you never give up. Those wing pours are so difficult. I have tried three. The first came out best but did not look like a wing, the second was worse & the third looked like a dirty pour. I need to try this on a long canvas. Keep on keeping on & congratulations on all your subscribers! You have so much to teach us all! Thank you. I do like the blue!

      Well I think one of the cool things in pouring is that we can never know the outcome. When I work in realism there always is a guidline to follow to hopefully have the end result as desired...in the pouring...even if all characters are set and measured and pre-set..the end result can still be totally totally different. To both ends of the spectrum :D

      You are so right I started my art at 9 years old with oil paintings I did portraits for many years and then I moved to still life I moved on to tattooing and retired it that 5 years ago sold my shop and I had been drifting now and then how is your oil changing or work hour but it took a lot out of me tattooing but when I found dirty pour I was hooked;)

      Catherine Segeren I like to switch between all the mediums but as my heart really hangs on realism and portraits this has a large area in my heart :) it requires a mit more „artistic skills“ when you call it like that than the pouring requires but the pouring in return is much more relaxing for the brain than realism is :)

    Herzlichen Glückwunsch, suppi. Hast du auch verdient. Danke für dieses Experiment, ist cool mit dieser Technik. Hab schon überlegt, vielleicht größere Behälter, hmh weiß nicht. Übrigens habe ich einiges bei resin 8 bestellt und bin total begeistert, im Paket waren 2 Behälter nicht ganz okay und es war etwas ausgelaufen, hab es fotografiert und zu denen geschickt, waren super nett und habe kostenlos Ersatz bekommen und sogar noch ein kleines Döschen Pigment extra, finde ich klasse, Daumen hoch.

    If all the "wing pours" came out predictably, it would be borning! I like it better when there is variance, rougher edges better. I have noticed that I need to lighten up my paints before adding pouring medium and float medium... The mediums lighten up the wet paints significantly, so when they dry, they become very dark... huge color shift.
    The pour when you asked about it, when you said that, I thought of Dr. Seuss' characters... I really like the black outline inbetween the other colors.
    Tried silver instead of gold and copper? Adding mica to the surface? Adding glow medium to lighter colors?
    Using fine squirt bottles or industrial syringes filled with paint? You can rubberband them together, push them out together, or vary.. adding and subtracting, kind of like making a pattern in weaving.
    Making partially clear layers, glazing pours? I'm working on these... Loving experimenting with these!
    Varying viscosity of paints used?
    This is some seriously fun stuff! Enjoying this very much!

    • @MKLGRMFineArt
      @MKLGRMFineArt  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      the pouring offer so many, actually unlimited options...Although I like experimenting I am not looking too much for stuff to pour over or paint out...I am more into the design pours after all the techniques that I have tried so far but I always love to see what others come up with and the results that they get :))

    First I just want to say congratulations on reaching your milestone of 10,000. I know those numbers will continue to climb.
    I had never seen your work before and this popped up in my feeds tonight. All I can say is WOW. You are truly an awesome artist and I know you’ll be showing your works somewhere one day. I’m stunned at the finished ones you showed us. They were all incredibly beautiful. I’m a new subscriber and I’ll be following you for as long as you keep doing it. I must say thou your art belongs in a show. These are some of the best pieces I’ve seen. I’m a new fan.
    With these pours I think I liked the blue one best of all but I don’t think anything you do could be wrong. Hang in there and you’ll reach a million before you know it. Simply amazing. I’d like to learn how you made the piece you poured from. It really looked like angel wings. Congratulations and I’ll be seeing more from you soon.

      thank you so much and welcome :) Well meanwhile I am close to 30.000, this video already is a year old I think but I have a couple more with the cup tool that I made. This was the thing that causes the angel Wing effect.
      I did make a 5-cup version of the tool and I must say - this is my most most loved result ever. If you want to have a look:

I am only hoping you book some shows and sell out. I did go to the other link you listed and that was absolutely gorgeous. I was looking for a link to try to make this tool and I didn’t see it. If I overlooked it please show me where I can find it. You should patent that tool if you made it. I’m thinking many people would love working with this. Thank you so much. Beautiful.

    Finally! The cup tool is pure genius!
    Going to try it now. So excited I found you.
    Will various cup heights affect the pour?
    Did you simply stick them together with basic glue or something stronger?

    • @MKLGRMFineArt
      @MKLGRMFineArt  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      just basic glue and the first layer acrylics that dry into them will care for the rest. Cups should be almost the same hight to have the color flow out the same time. My middle cup is a bit smaller than the others but it workds if all cups are filled with the same hight of paint
