Listening to you is like a relaxing conversation with a friend, keep on waffling.
The sound of the waves crashing on the beach is also very soothing. Good for the soul.

Your videos are interesting and a salve to the soul. I don’t believe you waffle at all. You talk to us all as one would to a friend and this is what makes your videos so easy to watch. What a lovely peaceful beach. I hope your van survived the service without any unexpected expenditure being necessary.
We sometimes need to stop and observe the world around us. I am sitting in my van in a layby looking over the sea looking towards the shipping lane of Milford Haven.
I just spent the last hour and a half watching a big oil tanker slowly glide into the Haven escorted by a tug sipping a freshly brewed coffee out of my blad explorer mug.
Its a beautiful sunny day, the water is turquoise in colour. What a lovely hour and half that was, all thanks to my campervan.
Did I think that was wasted time. Not on your nelly!
Stop and observe folks, its never wasted time.
A Campervan facilitates this much needed activity in a safer, comfier and all-round convenient pleasure,, most of us do this in our dreams, glad for your riches all of you who own one, yep wish I did.

Keep the home-grown feel. It's what I like about the smaller channels. Channels with millions of subscribers tend to be a bit soulless due their corporate feel and slick production. The cogitation presenting style is natural.

Yes my van travels are packed with exploring but also doing nothing. And it's the only time I feel I can. At home there seems to always be something that needs doing.

The Teville Steam only runs south of the railway (from ponds north of Elm Grove eastwards to Brooklands), those stretches you showed from north of the railway do indeed fall into the Teville Stream, before getting lost under the waste tip that leads into the lake at Brooklands, but are not regarded/named as such.
Historically the stream ran south of your house through the site of Wenban Smith (the low point of their yard), but it now mostly flows in concrete culverts laid under Newland Road (?in the 70s) and Chesswood Road. It only flows on the old routes in times of excessive rainfall, as you will remember it made its presence in Homefield Park a few years ago, the park being closed until the sun had sterilised the grass.

What is this world so full of care we have no time to stand and stare - yesterday whilst I was out walking I spent a few minutes standing still and observing a herd of cows and calves (safely behind a fence) all making their way down the hillside to a water trough, lowing and then crowding round and jostling for position. Strange how they all decided they wanted a drink at the same time. But just observing their behaviour was strangely relaxing as I paused my activity. Though I am not good myself at inactivity. Loved the shot in the video through the groyne timbers and the epilogue of the stream juxtaposed with the industrial environment.
I always find it odd when people are critical of videos on TH-cam. If you’re not happy, move on to another one. Keep up the good work 👍
I used to go out with my father in his fishing boat before and after school. Years later I would go out on my own. It is very difficult to explain the amazing feeling of being out on the sea in a small boat. All your troubles are left behind on shore, you feel like you are the only person left in the world. If you get the chance to go out in one of those boats Richard I can highly recommend it. Sun rise from sea is like nothing else.

I find when you stop and just pay attention to the moment, like the time I sat on the breakwater at Barmouth with my son watching the waves breaking, it is locked into your brain. So I can always recall the sights and sounds and smell of the sea when we decided not to rush back with all the other traffic but to sit a while and watch the sunset.
Beautiful film of the sea, with waffles, no syrup. Hope the van mot is not too expensive. I'm sure you won't need a new fuel tank like I did 😱

We all have to have those times when we do nothing, I know I sometimes feel guilty about that, but it’s something we all should do more, more often. Me time. Love the sound of the sea, it’s very relaxing
Sometimes it's just nice to relax on the beach or in a park and do nothing we all spend so much time just working and getting stressed that you need that time out to appreciate nature and the sea. I love the seaside I find listening to the waves very relaxing, great video Richard. Looked lovely weather that day.
The poem 'Leisure' by William Henry Davies perfectly sums up this predicament of always needing to do something.

Hello Richard. I’m the same as you, can’t sit still doing nothing. I can sit down for a few moments, but then I have get up and move on. You can waffle as much as you want, we don’t mind. Your trip to the sea reminds me of how the English imprisoned Napoleon on Elba Island. You were imprisoned in your home. Of course, Charles Joseph Minard's historical 1869 Chart of Napoleon's 1812 Campaign gives one a good perspective of war. Your philosophy of life was great. Eaglegards...

I'm always early. I don't like rushing around aimlessly when I could be better arranged and be able to rest. Elephants and tortoises live long lives, mice and voles who live fast lives but die young.
You know, if that service center would move closer to the shore they might get more customers. Just a thought, it could work.

Teville Stream/Broadwater Brook. I don’t know if this HLF project is still progressing, but information on the enhancement of the Sompting brooks for walkers and wildlife, can be found on the Sompting Estate website. The area is between the Dominion Way Industrial Estate in Worthing (where your van was serviced) and Western Road in Sompting Village. The aim is to improve the natural environment of the Broadwater Brook which meets with the Teville Stream. It would be good to think this might still go ahead.

To talk foolishly or without purpose just to idle away time talking. I don't think that you are a waffler . You are an entertaining person who has a purpose to make us aware of so much that I find interesting. Thank you . Now for an odd request I would like to see the Tip to compare it to our Dump. We have buildings where recyclables are sorted a section that produces compost plus a place where hazardous material is dealt with as well a large section for plain garbage that we all produce. I have been able to reduce my personal garbage by two thirds or better . The office produces little garbage the paper is recycled as are the toner kits and drums. Now I hope to find a coffee that the others will like better than Tim Hortons. Wish me luck with that 🙂🤷🏼♀️👍👍👍👍👍🖖🖖🖖🖖😘💕🙋🏼♀️❤️

Sometime I wonder who has died and put other people in charge of other peoples lives.
What’s wrong with those people, goodness me don’t give up the waffling I’d hate to watch a scripted programme we get enough of that from the misery of daily media all singing from the same government song sheet. Waffling is quite an art, it’s not easy to just talk into a camera and keep it interesting and free from errs and aghhs.

One bit of advice that I got from my diesel service people who are third generation diesel experts - get an oil and filter change at the six month interval between other services. This will vastly improve the longevity of the diesel engine. Have a chat to your mechanic about fitting a Mann Provent catch can. It collects water and oil vapour from the engine breather before it goes back into the turbo and engine. It prevents nearly all carbon and oil deposit build up on intake manifold. Nothing wrong with waffling it's a more organic conversation and I prefer that to the over produced and over scripted videos. My style of filming my videos is very much like yours actually.
The mentality of people these days is I am watching this so entertain me and if I don't like I after say something where as if I am watching a video and it does not do anything for me I just leave. Richard just carry on what you are doing.

When you say waffle, I don’t see anything wrong with that. I don’t think you do . Some people ramble on like an express train, never giving any one the chance to really understand what they are on about. So do it your way.
Please tell me why you drive a van and not a car? The van must be relatively uneconomical.
